What's better on a micro, steel wrist type thing or tilt bucket?
I think that and a root rake are next on my list.

Lift height (lack of) will annoy you with any extra stack height on a micro so I vote tilt bucket, and drop it off as soon as you are done with it. You’d need very specialist work to make a tilt rotator pay on a micro.

Can’t see a root rake being much cop on one either, what exactly do you hope to achieve? I’ve had one for seven years and used it once. You could borrow it if you want to be convinced, it’s on e10 pin spacings.

I don't need a rotator just the tilt function would be handy to save me having to spin the undercarriage and use the dozer blade to change my angle for grading on hills.
With regards to the rake, I've been clearing a few gardens lately and would like something to help rake the roots/stones out the top soil.

This sort of thing might suit.

I'd definately go tilt bucket rather than hitch. Any extra stack height will make loading even a wheelbarrow virtually impossible, not to mention the lack of breakout force.

That's the sort of thing I want. I'm hoping it will help separate green waste from soil as well.

Those rake buckets are the nuts Rory keeps trying to pinch mine , on a micro I’d be say tilting bucket 👍🏽 But anything bigger if possible I’d always go tilting hitch you don’t lose as much force as you think plus in reality it’s a 1.5/3 ton machine your driving not a 50 ton machine. Can’t say I noticed a great difference on my Takeuchi compared to the hire one might just be a bobcat thing 🤣

That’s cos they never had any breakout to begin with!
