Mdf and pir boardI’ve often wondered if silicon sealants and adhesives will be the “next asbestos”.

yep - the only way a suit will work is either with an air bottle or a very long hose and a blower at the far end.absolutely ..... all the goon suits/masks/etc. when pratting about with it aren't worth a FF ... 's a joke
HTF do these old timers live to 90 odd then ? Lived a cracking lifestyle as well most of the ones I know. None of this modern avoid this avoid that stuff. We're all f***ed basically. Don't touch teflon coated kitchen ware any more. Gone stainless steel instead for all pots and pans. Our old wok you could see the Teflon starting to flake off- tiny bits but no good.
Where to draw the line though- walk around a paranoid mess if start overthinking everything. Stone dust, asbestos water, silicone sealant, wood dust, woodburner smoke, diesel particulates- all stuff I've had dealings with in the last week alone!

Without being to morbid I think the current stats say 1 in 2 of us will get cancer at some point- pretty sobering but does seem quite high. To a degree I think your either genetically going to live a long life or not. Friend of mine was a personal trainer for some big names in London- fit as a fiddle and clean nutrition etc Found himself on the operating table at 53 having triple heart bypass- all in the genes apparently.HTF do these old timers live to 90 odd then ? I do think as I've got older I'm more aware of crap and tend to make judgement calls on risk rather than just crack on. All about balance I guess. Remember....
"None of us are getting out of this alive anyway"
C is so utterly shiteWithout being to morbid I think the current stats say 1 in 2 of us will get cancer at some point- pretty sobering but does seem quite high. Sorry to hear thatC is so utterly shite
Dad's battled it for nigh in 10 years. Had multiple treatments with varying success. Last Christmas was fitting a kitchen for mates now can hardly get off the sofa. So fekkin crap.
For what it's worth he's only 61.
Sorry to moan just pretty real ATM.
Sorry to hear, sounds awful. 10 years is a long time to be battling away at it- he's obviously putting up a good fight but not nice for you as a family seeing it happenC is so utterly shite

everyone is born with dormant cancer cells - it's whether anything triggers them or not - the 1 in 2 figure is somewhat alarming though as it would indicate far more trigger-ings![]()
Asbestos is found naturally in the ground side by side to talc (french chalk)Also used to be in talcum powder and 1 brand of toothpaste
Certainly Asbestos has a bad reputation for a reason.
Cancer is probably not just down to genetics, they may not help but what is still not clear is what the triggers are. One thing for sure, glucose is something that it needs to grow. I hear of great things going on in USA where patients have been put on stringent food fasting followed by reduced carb/high protein diet.
As for meddling with genetics and MRNA. This is a major push by the Big Pharma. It will end in tears!!
Interesting article in MSN this morning regarding major increase in bowel cancer in under 50’s. The Lancet found increases in 27 out of 50 countries it looked at. I would bet a very large amount of money that this is related to MRNa vaccines!!!
Someone we knew when I was growing up had cancer- they gave her a few months. Very little that NHS were able to offer that would of yielded a more positive prognosis. She went out to Mexico in the end as an alternative therapy/treatment. Highly controlled diet etc, I don't know what else went on but the cancer remained under control and gave her a few more years- doctors here couldn't believe it. She died in the end from in but they were convinced the mexican form of treatment was what gave her the extra time.Certainly Asbestos has a bad reputation for a reason.

we've both had summat .. quite covid like, long term cough (4+ weeks) - Pam lost her smell and taste - I didn't though and am now virtually over it - she's still got a pretty ropey, chesty, dry cough, but going slowly - terrible snots with it initially, but none of the shivers/sweats, etc. I'd associate with a flu ... the bottle(s) got un-corked in 2020 and the genies are out for everOn the note of health .
If you know anyone with this winters flu avoid them...
We've all had/having it's a shocker. Worst I've had for years..
Wife is well pissed off she religiously has the flu jab..missed it this year and gone down with it![]()
