Giving the old astra,last one in central London? Bit love today, probably original so 16 year old,had to hacksaw top n bottom bolts but....no space for saw,so used few blades on there own,oil change,after bout 20+k miles

I've still got an 05 astra van with a 2.0dti boy it's not looked after at all...Will it die no. Think I've had 6 astra vans now and they are all Hardy and all been excellent on mpg.

This is 1.7tdi in old shape,love it had it since 53k on 170k now,been all over UK Aberdeen to Somerset,still runs sweet,done couple alternator,cam belt, suspension,going down rail n site Access doesn't help,synthetic oil every 20/30k miles but £12.50 day so might change when insurance up in January,still be good someone in the sticks

Had 3 of the 1.7 isuzu dti, had a cdti aswell.

The ulez writes stuff off for no reason bar money creation especially if you look at the minute difference from it been euro3 4 5 or 6

Lol easier than fixing dumper on open cast,driven till it ran out of oil on the tip,or crushers in middle of forest,or diggers next to pyres with cows popping on foot n mouth,cool calm contemplation untangles every knot pal

Just got basic tool kit down here with me,not room to get in with anything else

Never heat a ball joint, we did once trying to get it out f****ng thinking exploded like a 50call bullet with a 1” ball bearing on the end dented concrete floor between me and dad and put a fist size dent in tin sheets on barn wall 30 foot away. Would have killed either of us if it had hit. Keep it in a draw somewhere.
