But it must have been a nightmare sitting by different pools, drinking different company-paid-for cocktails, knobbing different trolley-dolly’s week-in, week-out on the long-haul layovers.
You should really have a bit of sympathy for the poor old bugger…
Pilot needs his rest! I’d rather than a well rested/‘relaxed’ pilot rather than a pilot that has just had to drop the oil out of the engine before the flight oh and hasn’t had his leg over in afew weeks 😂

this one married an air hostess "quelle suprise " perks of the job
Neighbour at my last place was a pilot, he flew long haul , flew out oneday, lay over for afew days then flew back, then 4 days off.. was explaining to me how if he thew a sickie the night before his flight he’d get 8 days off on full pay etc! Always away on holidays - Tui have a private system which they could just pick up bargain last minute holidays from. I half considered a career change .. I’m just not very good at being told what to do 😂

I'm sure you could let a few of the air hostesses tell you what to do.

Done this retaining wall job the last week retaining a higher yard which will eventually be the parking area for the house. Some big bits to get in the base but otherwise Wacker and grab did most of it including 2 sets of steps using some old granite gateposts.

im not sure about the stereotype, is it really a thing - maybe yorkshire people are friendlier than most, nah deff not tight , at least my old man and his counterparts were all generous as you like, maybe less so with their time :)
although that said southerners are deff a thing, often a pita talkin about their financial status, in their pastel shades and drinkin shandies 🙂
Biggest issue is southerners confusing us with the folk from the wrong side of the hill.😑

customers machine under 10 years old believe it or not ! It kept cutting out regularly and I suspected it was crap in the tank so drained out 100+liters and clean/flush the tank out- was fine after that.

Talking to a chap I know at cricket yesterday. He’s getting charged £600 for a set of rear pads on his range rover by dealer. And folks get pissy with me for charging £144+vat for a thorough oil boiler service.

Careful with that. My Navara got to the screeching stage and tiny bits of hot metal flakes from the discs embedded themselves into the paintwork behind the offending wheel. Only found out when I was cleaning it and thought what the hell are these little flecks of rust over the paint and running board
