For fucks sake. Went to fit the dual wheels for the tractor, got one side on, stood back and then thought ‘that linkage don’t look right!’

No idea how it happened, the driver must have smacked something sideways. Odd because it’s pulled sideways from the top link. Must have been when a link arm snapped the other day.

Took it off, managed to press it about enough that the bolts into the casting would pull it in perfect. Got it welded and will tidy it up and faff around re attaching it tomorrow.

The snapped studs were a bitch- couldn’t get the welder square on to the back one. Cut a nut open so I could see what I was doing and tenth time was the charm.

So much for going out earning money with it tomorrow 🤦‍♂️ really needs some 10.9 bolts to replace the ones that snapped.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
What are you making with them ?? We do elderflower cordial and my stepmom does elderberry cordial but she does everything as super low sugar and I am not a super low sugar type of person.
me mate who crashed his glider a few years back and didn't come out of it - his old man used to make the meanest elderberry wine you've ever tasted -- many a time as teenagers, did we get wrecked on it - it just sort of crept up on you after a glass or two - and then you couldn't walk :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Mint 👌🏻
Where'd you get boat from ? Abersoch or further round?
On our to do list but times running out this hols.
Most of my family live in/around Abersoch - I’ve got a little Fletcher (30 years old, the cheapest and most fun speed-boating possible I reckon!) that I launch on Machroes beach. This was the first weekend this year it’s been out of my shed sadly (due to work and house-building commitments).

How’s the blood pressure?
Been better. Just had to take off the new tyre I fitted the other day as it had a nail in it already.

Thinking about it, I reckon the studs sheared when the link arm went. Cause I used a day it with the flail and the short link arms and didn’t notice anything odd.

I reckon the last day it was used bumping around carrying a heavy cut and collect to the dump site stretched it- it would have pulled hard on the top link too doing that.

You almost can’t tell now.

Blokes...
I assume you're at the stage in the cycle where you're employing someone to remind yourself why you usually don't?

I've got those skidster tyres to put on at some point. I suspect they'll be harder than bicycle tyres. Thinking about getting one of those changing jigs you walk round with a long bar. What do you use?

He does two or three days a week for me and is usually pretty good. I think it’s just one of those things.

For tyres I have a tyre machine with the ‘third hand’ arm to press the tyre down and also the follower arm. I wouldn’t want to do Ifor tyres or loader tyres without it.

It’s pretty much this one but a different brand, I have the motorbike adaptor kit to allow me to small rims like the Sherpa. https://automotechservices.co.uk/products/as-26xfa-fully-automatic-tyre-changer/
