Being tight,i went for the chinese android option.
Following that theme, the mounting kit was quite expensive,so out with the dremel and filler...

Early days yet, but seems pretty good for the money. Waze and google maps is the main thing. Plus the phone works well.
All via Android auto. And a usb stick full of music in the glove box using the usb cables that come from the back..

Day of leisure today, Newbury Auto jumble then back to the steam fair for a couple of hours. Fair old queue getting in but went quick enough.
Not a bad haul, galv rocksliders for the LR90 project, decent Loncin gx390 copy to replace the no name engines in my Ransom MG5 (can't get them running after sitting and replacing the perished pipes, no mater how much I cleaned the carbs 😕). This one started first pull from cold, just like a gs should👌 Had to carry the rocksliders and brackets about a quater mile from the furthest away stall to the car, then go back to the second furthest stall to pick up the engine 😆 🤣 managed to carry it all the way back on my shoulder with one stop 👍 didn't need 2 fleeces after that 🤣🤣
4 silky blades £1.50, 2 look brand new! Nice little Thor copper and hide, handy size, 30mm spanner to live with the tracked dumper, £1 pin grips and £1 17mm, can't have too many of them 😀
Russian tank engined fordson based tractor at the show, absolute beast!
Good day all round

I have a cheap version in my Dmax which hooks up to the rear camera. The factory radio was just about the worst thing I have ever encountered. Still going 3 years later.
couldnt be arsed running cable for the rear camera :D It is a good picture tho.
Cos its a convertible the boot moves in a weird way. Its a pain following the factory loom...

I had a dmax few yrs back and put a cheap sony one in it. had the camera low, behind the tow ball.
I would reverse onto trailers like a boss. They thought i was the business in reverse.(y)(y)

I completely disagree… in no way does it make you less skilled! Working arse over tit for the sake of being ‘old skool‘ is just being old and stubborn!!
I was tongue in cheek… had the ‘makes you less skilled’ comment from a a groundworker on a garden job the other day.

Multione still just the tool for the job here.

Reality is that if you learned on a standard setup then there are some skills you've learned that you dont need to use anymore and other skills to learn to get the best out of a tilty so in that scenario you add to your skillset but if youve never used a standard machine and learn on a tilty setup there are skills you will never need to learn.
Could find parallels in lots of trades I reckon.

filled 3 ton up on way to job Friday, locked it up in herras fenced compound, found it drained this morning 40 litres gone.

annoying!

We’ve been just filling 10 litres at a time so leaving them empty

Got to site this morning bonnet praised open cap and filter gauze gone and the few litres left in bottom gone

But I’d set 3 cameras up so fingers crossed we got some good pics! Just need to get iPad to check them.
