Slight change this afternoon, 14 stories up in Marylebone, some viewLoading shingle for drainage in a wood, think its going to run OK by the looks
Using the Giant to load the dumper to keep the muddy digger off the gravel worked a treat.
Not sure why but the Cummins 'low horsepower buisness unit' really makes me chuckle

The hammer weight is 130kg and whole machine is 250kg which is the max I could get away with on a 1.8 tonner. If it's harder ground I'd pilotdrill all the strainer holes with a 6" auger first but soily ground it will sink a 6-7" strainer easily enough- great for doing stakes.

This lot to clear out and a treatment system to go in, gas pipe is very much in the way, its copper in a duct to the house then splits 2 .... we ok just to shut off at tank ?? in case it gets damaged, it does hot water apparently.

... it'll be gas coming out of the tank from the top, not a liquid discharge, but I think I'd discharge the line pressure at the far end first, after closing the tank valve ...also remember propane is heavier than air and will pool at the lowest point if you rupture the line at all ...
won't dissipate like NG does ...
leaf blower to disperse it out of any trench/hole or it could sit for some time, mixing with air to a volatile level for a bang scenario

Dunno what French rules are like, but in UK you should 100% NOT be touching that pipework without correct tickets to deem competency. Its under HSE and not open for debate in a court of lawstunning install on the gas line !!

Knowing where to turn it off is certainly a good idea. We are not allowed to use copper underground for LPG anymore.

Dug the shed floor out today, Rarely bother with ‘small’ dumpers anymore and just use the dump trailer instead.. only going around the back of the shed(literally behind digger in the photo) to the crusher stockpile so all good inspector gadget!

We're going to get it shifted / repositioned and new pipework, might delay job as its 3/4 full though
Tree surgeon hadn't turned up in time to shift the horrible tree but the shear made light work of it, wish I knew what hed quoted
think the shear has more ooomph on the wacker than the 8t kubota, productive setup for this sort of job with rake and shear !
We're going to get it shifted / repositioned and new pipework, might delay job as its 3/4 full though

Channeling my inner Janner today. Took this oil tank out and fitted new on a job a couple years ago, due to customer panicking about the base corroding. Its a bunded steel tank which is rare round here. Corrosion on base wasn't as bad as I though so its sat in yard for a few years. I need one for my house so its been cleaned off and brought in for a look at. Quite a bit of rust pitting in spots where it was sat on blocks with no protection. Put the inner and outer under a pressure test and found 2 leaks on the bund, both on welds not rust related. Cut a couple pieces out to see how bad it is, inner tank is like new, however on the base of the bund the 3mm steel is down to 0.8mm in places, so going to get local fab shop to bend me up a new 2mm tray for £58 which can be tacked over the whole base. I will pour some thin anti corrosion liquid (not sure whats best?) into the bund to keep the inside happy. Got paid to take it out, so for £200 ish of paint and welding and steel I should have a nice recon bunded steel oil tank
