Yes, S type is ideal for this type of thingAnd that'd work OK between a 1.5 and a micro? Can't see me having a 2.7 any time in the near future.
Currently I've got a set of buckets for both machines, which are fairly interchangeable but no real benefit in doing so, and rakes, ripper tooth and the auger which do get shared between machines.

Tackled a list of jobs on the tractor today, full service, FWD drop box seal, Engine mount(found out someone had bodged it before with a spring!!) which had disappeared due to a diesel leak above it, so replaced that section of pipework.The engine had dropped that much the fan had taken out some of the housing.
I don’t see doing stuff like this as a job, i enjoy doing my own maintenance, oddly it’s probably one of the most rewarding things i do! Easy way to blow £800

A pound saved is a pound earned and with rates at dealerships or even local agri mechanics where they are, it doesn't take long before you're better off doing it yourself- particularly as you're not burning diesel or clocking up machine hours for your £60/hr.
And most importantly, you know it's done right.

£150/hr+ for main dealer… I spent 8 hours on it today and didn’t mess around, I bet in a cosy workshop with a coffee machine to hand they’d soon be at 10/12hours!
I bet ive paid for a dealer service twice in my time, one was a new 3cx and I shadowed them like a hawk so I knew what to do next time

Not manual, but the hydraulic s30-180 hitch on my WN ET24 is 19kg on the plate.

About 30 years ago some bright spark or missed of Swedish guy had enough of mixed matched buckets and different pin dimensions for different machines and came up with the S type standard.
"Symmetrical coupler" to give ut its proper name. Basically means it can be used in reverse as well.
S30 150 right up to S120 (i think)
There are a few standards in the UK, for instance S30 150, S40 240, and S50 would be none UK standards.... still some out there but not a standard as such.
S30 would go up to about 2 7 ton max, S40 from about 2.5 to 6.5 ton.
I always ask the question of what machines do you run if you are asking about 2.7 ton for instance. If your biggest machine is 2.7 ton or so then id say go S30 and use the attachments between your smaller machines also.
If you run say a 2.5 and 5-6 ton machine id say go S40, attachments such as rippers etc can be shared then.
We started building S type couplers in 2015, at the time no one was offering a twin locking S coupler so we designed and built the T-LOCK coupler.
We build them from S30 to S70, and we are a small business so they are mostly built to order.... hence lead times can be slightly longer than id like.
We have improved them over the last 9 years, and the latest S30 like @doobin Has is a full hardox body purely for strength.
I am abit excited to about our next development of the S coupler and i will give you all a preview in the next few weeks

Got finished for just after dinner today. Thought I know what I can do, get disco gearbox oil and filter changed. Already read about them been a b*****d so I bought the easy kit. But still what a s***t job. Had to be creative to get to some of the bolts on the sump with the tools I'd got. The same box as fitted to an l322 I can do in 20mins flat but that's definitely a bad design on the discos
Good job done as it wasn't documented in the history and When I got the old filter out it was still the original so worth the agro.
I did find an air leak while I was there, so that's another job but I'm still happy with it.

Id say engcons would be similar.... there new ECoil ine may be heavierWhats engcons Aiden ?
..I had a look and engcon blurb says 50kg ....quite a saving if thats right
Steelwrist says 30kg !

Just done a the consumption on the WN 6t/tilty setup and this week which was light driveways / digging out stoning up / few stumps etc it appears to have used 81L for 28.5hrs which is +/- 3L p/h

Now is the time for me to be thinking about it, before I spend money on a random hitch for the yanmar and then hopefully another digger in the near future, with yet more buckets!
Would you be able to send me a quote for an s30 hitch for an sv08 and some buckets, 12, 24 and grading to start with (or point me in the right direction if the buckets aren't something you do?) ? Thanks

My 5t Hitachi on light work all week would be a 25l drum a day or less if going steady or worst case flat out on mulching 2 drums a day
