I had my second grading beam made with a angled headstock(think it’s 30degrees), I had to pretty much argue with Digbits about it, but it means it gets the beam right up to the machine, where as like you say the working envelope is really small otherwise.

Can load my 3t mecalec hydro dumper as high as you want and it still tips.. even up the stockpile.

I‘ve had two buckets and a ripper made by Digbits. one bucket was a one-off re. pin spacing and angle and I had a few backs and forwards with them before they’d start making it how I wanted. Mind you, it was a good bucket when they’d finished. I’ve found their quality to be good.

Todays job, extending seating terrace and putting a pétanque pitch in at local bar ..horrible old overgrown hedge/fence ...what a tool for seperating out the vegetation/mesh/posts etc ...even replanted a few without and handwork

Hired thwaites newish hydrostatic 3 ton wouldn't tip this load of mot, didn’t feel excessive.

When Thwaites first brought out their 6 tonner in the ‘80’s we were using one on a job in Peterborough. I loaded it with sand and ended up having to drag quite a bit out before it could tip. It was running alongside a 5 tonner which was better all round.

My old 5t thwaits will tip anything at any slope or angle

They were one of the best made, imo. Weren’t many places they couldn’t get to with a full load.

My 2005 manual swivel would have no problem with it doesn’t like hills either lol

No doubt Thursday will be dry as a bone as I'm on site visits in London all day looking at the next round of acoustic enclosure installations...

Lurgi doing its rounds here. Like Covid but testing negative. Not as bad as flu - but put me out for 5 days and far from normal for the 5 - 10 days after that.

Think I've kicked worst of it. Turmeric honey ginger and lemon tea. Home made carrot and parsnip soup wish fresh baked bread dinnertime now doing a curry with plenty of veg and spices

Urgh it’s got all of us then!! I’ve never ever taken so many paracetamol/ibroprofen(50+!!) with some codine chucked in for good luck, followed by full antibiotics course!
