why do you not just swap them about?

Because the rotator for the tilty needs a lot more oil than the rotator for the timber grab. Worm drive vs normal rotator. Also the grab needs full flow to work quickly enough, whereas the tilt ram you want a small flow and you still only feather it.

One major perk of the yanmar was that both aux flows were fully controllable. Only the main flow on the bobcat is. And on the new e27 the rotate circuit is very slow- I’m having them out to fix it.

Though about getting a switch fitted to change the rollers over but decided to persevere.

generally accepted norm is rotate on left and tilt on right ... unsure on the Aux. front though - mine're on the left

If it’s legit I’d consider that a very good buy (if you have the work for it). It’s done bugger all if legit. I’d be going to ‘kick the tracks’ if it was local.

Almost better in everyway. My old Kubota had same tracks, never derailed a track and worked in all sorts of hard country with them and they were great. Got to be a bit mindful if tracking over the edge of a stone jutting/side loading the plates etc out but rubber wouldn't be any better- they'd just split instead

100%. Depreciation is largely done on that. You could stick another few thousand on there and probably only loose a few grand in the process. £1 an hour is my kinda machine

My E27 has the rotate circuit plumbed from the boom offset (through tiny hoses) - switched from offset to second service. It has a slight delay for some reason when you push the proportional sliders, but the actual oil flow is very poor. Not sure how your old one was plumbed but assume it was different to mine.

Same. Spec says 20l a min on that circuit, the old one must have been doing about ten and the new one around five! I compared the rpm of rotator on both of those to the e19 second aux (rated 15l/min) and the e10 main aux, which handily enough was 20l/min. The e19 has always been faster on the rotator but the original e27 speed was about right for a rotator so I never looked further. But this new one is too slow.

Sent them the videos and RPM figures, said I wasn’t accepting it and they came out to look, they’ve ordered a new valve stem apparently.

Figures are:

E10: 41rpm (rated 20l/min)
E19: 32rpm (rated 15l/min)
New E27: 13rpm! (rated 20l/min)

So they can’t argue it’s right and I assume they’ve put a flow meter on it.

Great day yesterday, went to a new job to board out- took 2 pallets of very mixed boards, a lot of them are getting binned- and pull the shed down.
Ended up doing both those jobs, cut all the bushes down, pulled up the paving and stacked it on the boards out front. Labourer even got a hole dug against the house so I've got an easy start on a trench
Back to the yard for 1, unloaded and did an easy half hour clearing brash on a windblown Ash in the field.
Called it a day at 2, I had a bit of a tidy up and had a quick look at the snow plough/front linkage I bought for my Massy 203 Industrial tractor a few months ago. Should bolt straight on, then the hydraulics are off the shelf bits
Today I've ringed up a few bags worth of oak and Ash, 1.5 tanks of fuel through the ported 461, 6 barrows of sawdust!
Oh and the D4 commercial I'm getting, still pulling its weight on the farm for another week. Good to see its parked in the barn today, don't want it getting wet
Next job, knock up a little box from reclaimed wood for a mothers day present, better late than never

Todays job, extending seating terrace and putting a pétanque pitch in at local bar ..horrible old overgrown hedge/fence ...what a tool for seperating out the vegetation/mesh/posts etc ...even replanted a few without and handwork

Hired thwaites newish hydrostatic 3 ton wouldn't tip this load of mot, didn’t feel excessive

Trying out the grading beam, see why suited to rotating on tilty and not much working envelope with it but first hour had hang of it

Will use it bit more and see what I think

I had my second grading beam made with a angled headstock(think it’s 30degrees), I had to pretty much argue with Digbits about it, but it means it gets the beam right up to the machine, where as like you say the working envelope is really small otherwise.

Can load my 3t mecalec hydro dumper as high as you want and it still tips.. even up the stockpile.
