Whilst we're on the topic coming up a year since my marsh was fitted...everyone in agreement that yearly sediment empty is a good thing on these treatment plants?

Been keeping an eye out for one of these for a while. Engine good and Drum clean.. needs a bit of TLC on the bottom but only 6 miles from home and £750 so I reckon I’ve done okay. 2004 model but doesn’t appear to have been abused much . (Yet!)

My wonder mix 4/3 cost me 50 quid about 8 years ago reckon I got a bargain then got a hand start lister in it and it always goes no matter how long it's left

Depends on size and use but yeah a good suck out of solids does help if it’s getting full

Customer text me a photo and asked me to bring slings to lift it off to make it safe (loader already on site). Can do better than that, I said….

Drilled a hole at 45 degrees sloping down a few courses up and filled it with an SBR enriched slurry mix with some fairy liquid. Knew it would flow and fill just fine with some agitation from a 6mm rod as on that church gatepost job the other day I’d done similar with just 15mm clearance between old post concrete squares and new posts. So there’s a trick for the memory bank used again just a few days later!

I’ve got a pair of battery magnetic flashing warning lights and they are just mustard for jobs like this.

Much easier to dig under stumps than fight with the ripper. Especially on this slope.

The log bullet lets us bring the stack to the processor, rather than the other way around. Test fit today- a bit of ply on the bales and Harry will have a much more pleasant experience especially with larger timber which needs to be cut and split before going into the processor splitter chamber. Massive bonus- it’s undercover too.

fair play that is A SOLUTION ... will be surprised if that bit of Doobintrickery doesn't get you a lot more work after the customer has extolled your virtues and cunning to all of his friends

Got one here off the 1.5 ton but will fit with quick hitch off wasn’t as effective. the micro doesn’t have the power to rip through with it so small bucket teeth work best on the roots as well as the 1.5 ton come along to give them a real pull. And a sharp axe and some sweat.

On a big 450mm stump old conifer now should be fun for todays job in the heat

Coming through back of garage so can’t get anything bigger in yet till garage is down but need to build garden room first to hold garage contents.

I have found the ripper you need for that job!

Keeping my fingers crossed but may have found a local firm , 1hr away is local round here who can do bits of fabbing work and repairs for me, seem a decent outfit with relatively motivated young lads at sensible money
Been to see them today about a rake bucket and altering my tree shear to s40 and a 750mm digging bucket,for the shear we discussed making another mounting bracket and having s40 on it like in 1st photo which is as it is now but on 60mm pins.

But a bit of a google shows one done like this

Looks like a welded on s type -i guess loosing the bolt on plate like this would make it marginally lighter and pick up closer to the shear, the obvious disadvantage is when i move it on its a dedicated pick up and would need grinding off to alter it.
Whats thoughts fellas any other disadvantages ive missed, pick up would be further forward on shear but anyone see any issues ?

I would go bolt on so you can use it on a hire machine if you need more reach. Gives you more flexability for little extra wieght.

Started nee job extending and replacing some of these gabions, was meant to be done in June but rivers authority didbt sign off so here we are now. Rained all weekend and most of today river rose 1’ while we were there today.

Off to yard in morning see how many sheet piles and big road plates we’ve got to rethink it as it’s about 5’ deep where we need to get the Reno matteress in. Typical poor access job as usual.
