Because the FETF grant was 3k for a trailer or 25k for a mini forwarder plus an alpine and trailer is hard work anywhere but on the flat.

As you have volunteered numbers, how much was the beast?

Been keeping an eye out for one of these for a while. Engine good and Drum clean.. needs a bit of TLC on the bottom but only 6 miles from home and £750 so I reckon I’ve done okay. 2004 model but doesn’t appear to have been abused much . (Yet!)

Da got the garden and field graded in. Then yesterday I spread the soil ready for the customer to work and get it sowed out.
Meanwhile at other job I got the concrete out, reduce dug the clay and got some stone in. Not finished yet as forecast was for rain to left it to get the soiling done. Garden and banks etc won’t be soiled until spring time

trouble with all of this style of lock is it only take two bolts to remove the hitch head from the tube and replace with whatever yer brung

I don’t bother with one anymore because like you say it’s 30seconds with a spanner! Plus they can just tow it off with a strap! But a big feck off chain concreted into the ground looped onto somewhere awkward slows them down abit better! Only issue with that is it has to have a dedicated parking spot in the yard!

Does anyone bother chaining them to pickup chassis?. I used to...
Also used to chain it to inside garage and shut the door ..one day it occured to me the mess theyd make if they just dragged whole thing away

I have done when I’ve been going dodjy places or know I’m going to be stopping in services etc but usually just lock it onto the hitch so it doesn’t drop off so easily

I use a “stronghold” one like this on my Ifor, not sure if they fit others.

I use one of these as well can use them over the ball as well to lock them onto the tow bar.

if I'm parking anywhere and have to leave the trailer attached I always secure to vehicle with a new 4t x 14mm wire strop through the draw bar ... not as easy to cut as a chain and large Yale lock is under the back of the vehicle on the breakaway eye

We’ve had one 20 years the worm gear is now goosed about 980 for the pinion shaft and bits

keep throwing bids at newer ones with knackered engines in auction but still make 500 etc

have a 240 one as well same size cracking mixers

Moving on to next job
Have a couple of landscaping jobs to fit in soon, round a pond about 1000m2 to grade and level, the engcon grader is going to look small , need a s40 rake sharpish, is 1.5m the right size ?

That's a fantastic picture The rake i use with my 3t is 1.2m so maybe 1.5 possibly a bit more, how wide is the ET65 ?

Taking out some more trees today then this evening im in children’s hospital with number 1 son, suspected broken ankle skating!

Still Sat waiting with screaming kids all rd, not sure if adult a and e is worse with pissheads etc

Yeah rekon you could go a bit more my tb016 1 is a metre I think and rekon could comfortably do a 1.2

I have to thank @Gunners for that, rapidly coming to the conclusion Hardox is the plant operators friend, especially if he owns a tilty.
