Would a machine with a grading bucket just working site over fire pass not be easier? Just to catch all the lumps and tyres. That looks like a stressful day.

It’s 30 acres and only wants a quick pass to knock the (now largely) overhead vegetation down.
Today has been a ‘new’ area which is landlocked with apparently no access but has benefitted from the joys of the fly-tippers. All of the issues are within scumbag-throwing distance of the boundaries.
Sorted now, bit of tidying up tomorrow and back to my own bed!

Think I’d of sent in a self propelled sprayer in afew months back loaded with roundup, would be clear as a whistle now …. But I guess the main contractor wasn’t that forward thinking30 acres

They are usually following immediately behind me with diggers and dozers - I think this one got held up as another adjoining piece of land potentially became available which alters the layout of the development.Think I’d of sent in a self propelled sprayer in afew months back loaded with roundup, would be clear as a whistle now …. The cost of my bit is a drop in the ocean for these guys - getting me back for another go shouldn’t make much of a dent in their bottom line!

First job out and thought I better be sensible and drop it off, was a decent stump (thats the 600 bucket).... might of not been necessary with a ripper but thought I better not fook it in the 1st 1/2hr.
Afterwards it rapidly came into its own, this photo is surely a contender for the front cover of engcon France's monthly magazine

I cleared a shitty site of over grown weeds and s**t but used a set of disc’s behind the big tyred dumper did a fair job and no blockages

Few days in and its obvious that it will pay for itself quickly, brilliant on today's 2 little jobs,hardly had to move on the new entrance job and next to no manual work, second little job for neighbors was made a pop with Gripper, pulling shrubs out shake soil off put in pile.
Gripper is fantastic addition to a digger.

Nice bit of kit, which has some pretty grey areas of operation
does the operator have a crane operators ticket to comply with suspended load operations?
similarly does the rigger banksman have the necessary qualifications to be doing what he's doing?
these roto FLTs/telehandlers are lovely things, but they are such a crossover unit, there are such a lot of reg.s to comply with ... as said, on such a tight site, a 'proper' crane may well be a more suitable tool for the job.

We will get ‘proper’ cranes in for steel lifts etc but for day to day site handling this was a option we’ve wanted to try for a while. We did look into a small tower crane but seemed bit more agg than we wanted and having to permanently allocate the space for it was a bit of a killer.

Nearly every house build gets a tower crane over here, all the little outfits have there own they tow about.
Will take some when I'm passing as there are 2 up in the village at the moment.
