Smart! Looks like a trailer FULL. Not sure I'd want it over the weighbridge, must be veeeeery close to the line. Wouldn't want it behind Dmax with an empty tray.

Yeah it's overweight with the buckets on. If I had it on with no buckets it's probably hovering around legal. It's going to spend the first 7 months on one job which is why I bought it really so I can just leave it there and use the other machines for jobbing jobs.

Today's job consisted of stripping all 4 wheels and hubs off my 14fter, ready for an overhaul. Decided to keep it so its getting the works- cables, shoes, bearings, lights, floor. Its just too useful to let go and it has been remarkably reliable.
Then I had a bit of a tidy round the yard with the skidsteer, cleared out the back of the disco a bit, then made the foolish mistake of trying to reorganise the container. Far too hot, made a bit of a hash of it to be honest
but it's on the right lines now.
Yesterday was far more enjoyable! Couple of hours in the truck, aircon on full, picked up a flail mower, then a back in the truck, on to the coast for a wander, nice bit of lunch and a bloody lovely ice cream
picked up a case of adnams lager, never had it before, definitely be having it again !
Lovely bit of breeze coming off the sea, I really don't like the heat, as long as its warm enough concrete to set that'll do for me!

Sorted! Harry’s a good fella, dropped it off at my yard this morning. Ten minutes later I had it fired up with a drill (snapped the bit holder tho when she fired upwere averaging 1500-1800+ quid five or more years ago when I bought mine ... the sit ons are even worse .....
IIRC the last time I looked, they're north of £15k new
TBH if it's clean it's not overly dear in todays market .. especially as you'll earn with it ... they're fast - 14km/hr on decent ground and leave a good cut

After putting Fridays cock up right we took the surround from around this. It hasn't been moved this is how it was. Lucky nobody lost a wheel as apparently they had cranes and a lot of other heavy vehicles a cpl years ago

Weekend away at Fontainebleau then back at it.
Water recuperation tank going in ...nigh on 3t so telehandler needed ...and a,bit of security just to make the driver feel happier.

Nope.. I used to work right up to the day we went away, but can’t anymore with kids, I have to start winding down a week before or I just end up ill on holiday! Takes just as long to get back into full swing, always far too much going on, with seemingly no way to stop it once in motion!!

Crazy isn't it - I used to work right upto going away too but try to take a day or so wind down beforehand otherwise its exactly like you say you feel like your dying when you stop

But yeh... it is non stop, and personally I think its been worse since 2020, feels like it never slows down the last few years

I've never been very good at the work life balance thing, last time I bad a proper break I visited my sister in NZ, before covid felt like a zombie for the first week Sat around reading a book, second week got out and about great, then it's the wtf is it about thoughts and by the time you know it your back at it?? Strange thing is I'm a bit excited about a rake bucket arriving from Digbits tomorrow, is there any hope for us ??Ha ....it's deff getting worse , and tbh I have considered never stopping but the concept doesn't get met with much enthusiasm
