so how the hell do you add extra lighting ... earth to body/chassis point, but what about connecting a live supply to a relay to feed them , from a +ve post?

Positive post is fine it's apparently either car side of the module/sensor on negative or earth to chassis.
The sensor monitors the drain to the battery so if anything is battery side of it, it won't detect at least how I've been told about it all

To be fair why wouldn't you earth to body anyway? Always a funk on trying to get extras attached to batt terminals anyway

Wiring something like additional spots or a winch, tend to just run both cables direct to battery, either they don't know better/can't be arsed to make an earth or no factory earth point nearby

Winch slightly different but as for extra lights etc it's easier finding/making a bolt to earth to body as a rule than trying to get extra onto batt terminals imho. Trouble is a lot of folk add extra leccy stuff and have v little idea what they are doing.

Received an invoice today for waiting time on a concrete job from July big national company

Safe to say I've told them to shove it, said to the guy on the phone if you went to HR and said you were owed some hours from July would they pay it to you?

" Probably not"

If they had sent it in August / September I probably would have just paid it but this is from 20/07/22 ! Nearly 5 months ago

Got the digging out done and ballast in ready for a couple of warmer days. Pretty tense going up the ramps with the dumper

Must have been dicey going up or down the ramps, I move my micro off the tipper trailer the other day and it just wanted to slide the whole way down.

2004 disco 2?

2002, set up as a 3 seater van/camper. Taken it on 10 days round Scotland, Dartmoor, Peak District and Lands End with a trailer (delivered a flail to Redruth) from Hertfordshire in the last few months. Then I can change the wheels for the muds and do a play day
It's in the dog house now though- alternator died while I was trying to help cars stuck on the ice this evening
Oh and someone slid into it in a focus earlier. Focus needs a bonnet, I need precisely nothing

Not as bad as I was expecting to be honest.
I was careful to store the ramps with the tops covered to keep the frost off them and spread a bit of sand on them before I started.
Did 12 trips up them with the dumper

Very nice. You can almost see my house from photo 1! I asked if it was 2004 because looks like you have a diff lock and traction control control. I believe 1999-2002 didn't have diff lock only traction control- but my recent purchase of a 2004 disco 2 only has traction control too. Big fan of the disco 1 and 2 myself for work and play.

I believe all the discos have the mechanisms still in place for the difflock the only thing that is missing in the models without it is the linkage. You can buy a kit for around £100 to link it back up.
Is yours an auto. Mine is but quite shocked at how poor the mpg is compared to the manual disco 1 I have

Some of them have the gubbins but no lever, some don't have anything.
It was an auto, never liked it compared to my old manual, so when the front prop went through the autobox last year I converted it to a manual

On a JCB 8008 for mate today, ground frozen solid which didn't help, the machine isn't too bad but whoever thought of the layout of the controls needs to have a word with themselves. By far the most uncomfortable machine I've sat on, if you have your feet on the floor the levers sit on your lap, so you have to spend the day with your legs at another 45 degrees further out. I couldn't even reach the slew pedals without having to slide forwards a bit

Are you not stoned yet! Did you take €60 for a lady my nephew went and she was trying to finish him off. He'd got a bit of drink on board and she was counting the seconds down his allocated time
