I always wonder how long the starter motors are going to last as well??

Agree I always wonder this. Not to mention stopping a hot engine dead. I assume there's some clever system to keep the coolant moving around even when it's in off mode. Load of bullshit. I'll stick to my 25 year old disco thanks

Realistically to be in a situation where start stop start stop start stop is getting a lot of use you'd expect it to be in a fairly built up area so not exactly stopping an engine which has just been getting a flogging. Bit like @Gunners saying about oil feed to turbo, shouldn't be a huge problem with semi or fully synthetic oils its not like engine should be stopping from 3 or 4k.
I'd still rather not have it mind (and don't).

Its a cheat way to get the emissions down. Nissan replaced my battery FOC on my truck at 3 years old - you lot want to get some better warranty!

My NP300 is now 4 years old and is randomly slow to start in this cold weather. And a few week ago battery was flat after hazards were on for 10 mins while I unloaded Ifor
Could this be a clue that my Renault/Nissan battery is on its way out? And is it covered by the 5 year warranty

Mtk brought this over this morning for us to
Use up the left over stone and boulders into something useable, shame to break up the big 6 ton lumps but no other use for them

Edit: we are breaking big bits up with breaker before ppl think we are crushing 6 ton lumps

Hmmm tried that ...but as soon as they saw 3rd party wiring loom they ran a mile...in the end I gave up...

If you have any additional looms or wiring, don't add them directly to the negative terminal of the battery, they either need to be vehicle side of the sensor or earthed to chassis

Doesn't matter where...basically their stance was a single piece of non standard copper and it's no Bueno.

That could be interesting going forward with my developing battery issue
Dealer supplied my Nissan tow bar wiring loom for the 13 pin stuff on my NP300
But I fitted it because I don't trust them to do fcuk all after they messed up my hardtop wiring

I think most these new trucks are plug and play for the new tow bar. I don't think their is any more splicing into the loom

They are but you can still use an aftermarket loom which if they want to be wan*ers about they will

Maybe not splicing into the loom for lights, but if a full 13pin system is to be fitted then it may well have its own loom connected up to the battery etc.

It's more anything that is connected directly to the negative terminal the. Battery management sensor won't allow for the extra drain

so how the hell do you add extra lighting ... earth to body/chassis point, but what about connecting a live supply to a relay to feed them , from a +ve post?
