No idea, originally stone wall was level with patio but then we raised the wall to knee high to stop anyone falling off. But as the railing was on the drawing not a heightened wall they’ve asked for it so they’ve got it.and the point of the railings is ??????? ... look a tad out of place amongst all the other nicely crafted features
Robins and few other little birds where straight on it so I guess it has some good uses

..... can see why the railings then in that case - over 450 drop has to be safe guarded ... just look a bit out of place with the rest of it all ... you must be very happy with what you've achieved there

We’ve got a Stock fence to put in as well which will half the current walled in garden, that’ll be the real sore thumb in the wilderness setting, the big stags which are all rd here will just step over it lolpity they hadn't had you raise the wall to full height, when it was raised to knee height
Yeah it looks lovely, would like my garden to be like this and my mrs would haha. Builders house always last lol

Solid rock structure below so couldn't sheet pile boxes placed in then filled with clean stone either side where we could they are in there solid and haven't moved at all now with an additional 400mm concrete foundation they are firmly placed
