He’s not that clever to think strategically

Because ppl put bricks in normal mixers he thought rather than clean it out like shown, bare in mind it’s only lime no cement so cleans easy with a hose he’d short cut

He had to hand mix in barrow had him filling low spots while I’ll tried to mend it

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Giles, I’ve got a 120 litre pan mixer sitting in Sheffield. I don’t want to sell it but don’t have any immediate use for it so might loan it out if you get stuck again
as long as he keeps the dick head labourer away from it, presumably  ........................ saddest part is ....... they're allowed to breed !!

Don’t be so quick to assume! The lads made a big mistake and you’re judging him, assuming he’s already added to the population! He’s only 22, still plenty of time to get his balls chopped off!

I did the "it's lime, just a hose out will do the trick" . Also said that it works to leave half a mix in and top up in the morning 🙂, absolutely rock solid in the morning and a suspicious dusting of white powder around the boot of the stonemasons car 🤥

I’d like a roller pan tend to be 3 phase though rather than petrol/diesel

Got my big belle diesel on one job, a 110v belle normal one on another job but two petrol belles in barn with gearbox leaking on one and engine not running on other no time to get at them, got another big belle xt100 but it’s 16amp and tends to trip out most house suplies. Generator runs it fine though.

Maybe time for another belle petrol brand new one local.

@Rob65 that’s a very kind offer thank you, is it a baron type resin style one? Or Refina style lime plaster etc

He’s not scum lol his dad is big Groundworks firm used to have 12 guys, got a 3 ton with steelwrist, 5,14 ton avant 3cx etc family have land mum drives new defender etc. Parents divorced and he went with mum, came working for me at his mums request as we were working at hers.

but he’s just not quite with it, severely dyslexic and doesn’t read very well. Been to day realise done Groundworks etc got his streetworks operators, took him 6 attempts to pass his trailer test apparently and more driving theory test, his dad was pushing him to do 7.5 ton but couldn’t do theory. Think he gave up at 3 goes.

He’s only just got his first girlfriend and he’s completely taken with her, she’s about a big lass haha.

His dream is to be a digger driver but haven’t trusted him more than playing in open field with 3 ton.

He’s the little one, with the barrow aka fred!

If the biggest mistake I’d ever made by the age of 22 was trying to be clever and end up bending a mixer then I’d have done well!
If he’s a decent lad then put it down to experience - we all cock up now and again.
If it was done with any sort of malicious intent then stick his hands in the mixer….

My comments were made firmly tongue in cheek and should be taken that way. I wasn’t implying anything really, we all make mistakes.

Fair play for giving him a shot, Giles. Too many won’t. As long as he learns from his mistakes.

Let's just say at 17 and being a spanner monkey the opportunities for cockups were endless...my boss was long suffering 😱🤦

If I fuk up I've only me to blame and style it out best I can, if one of lads fuk up then I have to stop myself and weigh it up....even if its genuinely a faux par they still get it mentioned daily (that's unless I can see its not fun to repeatedly remind them, in that case it's sorted and not mentioned again)

Giles, I’m no mixer concur but to me it’s a mortar mixer. It was previously used for mixing cement based grout.

Here the manufacturers web page

Here is a pic of the plate
