I did joke with the builder this morning, that’s the new driveway paid for! It’s just the lazy don’t give a s**t attitude that annoys me. The pads are stored next to the legs! Must have known he’d done it but said nothing and went.

Clay cross or tideswell ?

don't think it's a French native somehow .. two in a day ? - escapees from somewhere 'praps ... where's our ozzie fellas tonight - they might have an idea
Not one I know. Apparently there are no Vipers in Oz.
It looks similar to one we do have called the Death Ader (guess why).
It's a lazy snake - instead of hunting, it wiggles the white tip on its tail like a worm, and waits for dinner to arrive.

Doing accounts and workshop stuff today as forecast was rain and I didn’t want to drive half an hour with the cut and collect only to have to stop soon as it rained.

Needless to say, the rain never materialised…

So as 4 on I went home and did a bit more on the house. The nasty cement pointed lump that has been threatening to fall for ages finally did and the scaff caught it- now i can add on some more bits to hold it as I dismantle it so it doesn’t crash down uncontrollably.

The good thing about having a pile of stuff for the crusher in the yard is that you are your own reclamation yard! Found a couple of bricks that were about right.

Achingly slow progress.

I collect boulders/rocks for one of my customers, I always load them on with the grab, sod letting the cat 966 dump them all on in one uncontrolled dump.

It also means I've not muck in with them either, just pure rock/big lumps.

All the time I’ve had this I’ve been convinced it doesn’t fit the gh1054, I’ve used the larger trailers for it.

I must have put it on the other way around and assumed it wouldn’t fit reversed 🤦‍♂️

Grounds out on the basket a touch with the ramp but will use the outrigger pads to raise it a little when I unload, that should work fine.

I’m on a mission to get down to two decent trailers to do everything. The gh146 went last week- too wide and cut in badly on the road. The 18’ Bateson went to a mate three miles away for a cheap ish price (and I can borrow it back)- again it’s too wide and it turns out the log bullet will fit on a 16’ trailer.

So I’m left with the Ifor lm166 with full width ramp, the holding bars for which restrict the loading of oversize things. I think I need to swap that for a 6’6 tiltbed to allow the fitting of wider things such as the alpine tractor on dual wheels. Then it’ll be about perfect.

The other makes I have used had an override button allowing you to swing the "dipper" section up to avoid grounding the basket when loading

Having a tidy up?
We have 5 trailers now…. And that’s about right. Would like a full width ramp for the LM166 but waiting for a cheap local one .

My extra big Bateson md35 is annoying me, had it bigger for track dumper but sold that but at 14’ and 7’ it’s too big with 3 ton on and in tight farm yards etc especially on a pickup.

But is handy for bulky big things need a smaller plant trailer for 3 ton. But couldn’t turn it round today in tiny steep farm yard, had to spin in with digger.
