If you wanted a 1.2 wide one then you oreded the wrong one. Gh1054 translates as 10ft long by 5ft4in wide.

It’s the length of the door in this case - the shorter 1.2m door is slightly lighter than the 1.45m.

If you’re that close to the limit that 20cm longer on the skids puts you over then you’re too close anyhow!
I wouldn’t be without the full width ramp on my gh1054- so much easier to load all kinds of machines.

Apparently a 30kg difference between the 1.45m and 1.2m skids that's a fair difference

It's more the principle, if you order something, it should be what you ordered.

The 8026 is heavy so every kg counts, don't get me wrong I'm not going to go, to the extreme of cutting every unused part of thread off the ends of every bolt on machine and trailer (although could save a good kg or so )

Might get it on a bridge at some point and see what the total is now whether that is trailer coupled or uncoupled is another Can of worms

well if you want to know what the GVW of said trailer is ... the latter unless you can get a letter from DVSA to say you can add the nose weight

Tracked off the trailer and across the site, literally first pull to do some grading and quickhitch pipe pinched in the tipping link pin bolt and burst to be fair it's very tight in the hitch and these things happen

All sorted, at least for now, so will see how it holds up but currently both pipes tied up to the tipping link not convinced it's going to work but the hose fitter thinks that's the way

Thanks to Ollie gunns and Neil at nasco for the advice not that the fitter was that interested in the opinions.

At this rate seem to be giving doobins leaky bobcat a challenge

The hitch is small, I'd say probably smaller build height than the manual hitch on the dx10z.

Always going to be teething problems but at least they have been sorted quick, on the plus side the 8026 is great, only done a bit of grading and little muckshifting so far but happy with it

Isn’t there something about an applied load? As in if your truck is rated to have 250kg nose weight you could have 3750kg behind you- assuming you got load distribution spot on….
