Led vs bulb, all I know is the full rear combination unit is only £28 to replace… can’t imagine the led version is near that?
I had a new led unit for my ifor was £130!!

Is it still the case some vehicles dont like full led equipped trailers. Seem to remember discovery 3/4 allthough not had it happen with mine.
Yep, my 10x5 came with leds, wouldn't work with a d3/4, dealers agreed they had seen it a lot. Also wouldn't work correctly with a 2013 sprinter, but only tried it on 1 of those so could be coincidence

Don't complain - suggest what's better
I've gone full LED on my trailers. Way brighter and much less susceptable to damp problems. Unless things have improved with Ifor wiring you will definately have issues with standard ifor lights - every ifor trailer I've owned I had to have rewired.
If you are the type who keeps smashing them normal are cheaper to replace, but most LEDs keep working even if a couple of the individual LEDs are broken.

there's no reflector in that cheaper one either ... rear light clusters're supposed to be red/orange, with the only white showing as reversing illumination, triggered by selecting reverse gear only

That’s probably why the trailers come with a red triangular reflector on each side (that are the first things to get caught and subsequently crack and fall off!).

they're also supposed to have an integral reflector in the unit (usually rectangular), between the S/T lamp and indicator lamp

This is proving annoying ...Granite ! HM100 on the Kubota wasn't having it, it gets slow to fire when it's hot, once it fires it does alright....maybe needs gas ?
Anyhow the plant hire place didnt have a breaker that the 6.5t would pick up and wanted 800€ + vat for a 6.5t and breaker for the day,I think they think that when you hire something from them your basically happy to work for them for the day !
So got this fine example and it's breaker ....geeez it's like stepping back into the early 2000's !
Wacker was supposed to be in for the engcon fitted today but it's still needed on site.
