Thing is legally you can't sell it or process it....... Basically it's still waste and by crushing it you have broken the law.... that's the pitiful reality.Im thinking around ten 8 wheelers.
The bay that the pile starts in holds an 8 wheeler load, spilling out of the front a little.
It’s cost around £2500 to do, based upon what I hire men and machines out at plus the hire charge for the crusher and op (he loaded using my machine). Had I kept the tip pile in a bit better order then it would probably have been £2k. Really it needs the big lumps breaking up a touch before pushing the heap up, but that hasn’t happened over the first year. It will going forward, and I’ll also make sure reinforced posts and gravel boards are kept out.
Type 1 recycled (which is good gear) is £440 a lorry here. I’d value this at £350 a lorry, we pay £280 a lorry for crushed concrete which often is more mud than concrete. So if I have ten lorry’s in my pile that’s £3500 worth.
It wouldn’t be worth getting concrete tipped to crush it for that margin, but given that I’ve already charged good money to remove it from jobs, it’s a winner for me.

It's bad to judge even when you're stood by the pile at times never mind on a pic. I'd reckon about 150 ton.but only to the top of the boards

We have a beast of a crusher.... but it's never worth using it..... which is pityful. Even the E.A inspector I deal with thinks it's a sick joke.

That's half the problem, they know it's not right but they seek to keep their superiors happy so they can still take home their salary, have no questions asked and get all the holidays they want when they want rather than putting up with laying money out on a job and a customer screaming at you because your not his no1 priority and to let others down for at the end of it to pay you when/if they can be bothered.

The thing is the country is overpopulated so there are too many people to find work for. Hence red tape rules regs bulls*it to create more jobs. The "green" agenda as a whole must be the biggest source of employment in the country and all it does is chase a big lump of govt money around.

Tbh I don't think it's so much about finding work for people. I think it's more to do with people finding jobs they are prepared to do.
Which it would appear is only jobs revolving around working from home and doing the bear minimum. Then complaining that they are underpaid.

This is 8x 6 wheeler loads (96 ton) heavy decomposed granite. I can't see doobins pile being much more than 120 ton.. 150 max. Better get the scales out doobin.but only to the top of the boards

A large part of it was the old cubicles. Went halves on the crushing part with my landlord (he's a tenant farmer, it's his tractor). Half of the pile will be used for redoing farm tracks. So legal? Although the farm tracks are only being re-done for access to some glamping pods. So not agri.Doesn't Doob use a farm? If so it's all ok

As regards tractors- there's a local guy with more kit than you can shake a stick at. You think I've got a lot of gear, well he's got stuff ten times as big and ten times the value. Everything from 13ts with tilties to road graders on tractors. All moved on a brand new fastrac- before 8AM or after 5PM as much as I can work out! Yes, he does some farm tracks. But last job was the village hall car park.
