TB016 upgrade to quick hitch? If so manual or hydraulic?

Weight of thumb and tilt hitch would start to add up on a tb016. Although I agree itd be a nice combination. A bit of breakout is definitely lost but on that size machine it's a 5 minute job to put a bucket on direct if you need to rip out a bit of hard ground. The rest of the time it speeds the job up no end for the right kind of work. Waiting for a price on one fitted to a kx027-4 but doesnt seem overly forthcoming

no, the tilt hitch'd not need much flow in comparison .... would need to be a diverter with at least as much flow capacity as the breaker requires ... and a bit of spare

A 1/2 diverter would have more than enough capacity on this size machine, I have run flails through them

as I said Aiden ... flow rates need matching to suit, plus a bit for luck ..... what size plumbing feeds the service on that?

The thing I found when I was running my/Harry's/Rory's hitch off the tb216 is that it was becoming irritating having to take it off all the time as I tend to use quite a lot of attachments. Great when it's just the bucket but this was a semi quick hitch so didnt work with weld in pins or would need the aux hydraulics to run the attachment- in the end I decided that a hydraulic grading bucket would do what I require and that way no more faffing around with hitch change overs. Also the pedal on the tb016/216 has to be set pretty accurate otherwise the swing on the tilt can be a little erractic unless you have dainty ballerina toes! And another thing- the flow share isnt great- I always imagined being able to pull in the dipper and tilt in one fluid motion but the reality is that you have to set the angle of the tilt and then pull in the dipper and adjust as you go along- the flow share just isn't there to do it both at the same time.

I think just the hitch is the way to go for me now.
Forgot did have a Geith price around 200 cheaper, wonder if that's worth the saving over the harford
