TB016 upgrade to quick hitch? If so manual or hydraulic?

I know it's a luxury in a small machine and some will argue you don't need any form of quick hitch on a small machine but if your working in your own it's a ball ache getting off, on, off again then back on just to switch the bucket.

This is the biggest thing for me too. Even as an owner op I'd be guilty of not changing when I should with a screw hitch. With hydraulic it's so much easier. It's the little things you'll notice- like if you're trying to dig tight to existing footings in heavy clay, right at the edge of the bucket arc.-Switch to the ripper tooth and loosen it up a bit whilst the dumper makes a trip out front, and by the time he's back you've got the bucket on again and have saved a lot of chipping out by hand.

So I'm edging to going with the Harford hydraulic, do I get a cost for the tilt version or on this size is there too much weight as not used 1 before?

No breaker ? I got told when harford fitted it I could use one just need to keep up the greasing ! And regarding breakout yes you lose some but it’s a 1.5 ton machine not a 13 tonner you’ll do more shaping up than ripping out

Yes, No.... middling really. What you loose you make up for being able to angle the bucket and use it like a ripper..... Unless your prying concrete or just trenching they are fine.

R.E breaker.... I have run a breaker under mine.... BUT you can't break and tilt without two lines.... so I just take it off now.

Would lose too much breakout for most ground round here. I get your point on angling bucket but wouldn't be enough. Tbh they are more of a shaping/landscaping thing. I'm gonna get round to getting one at some point but I'll swap between it and hyd hitch depending on jobs. Like yourself it will end up under breaker occasionally but only for very light use.

Yes think I will order a ripper and a rake when I order whichever I decide.
I wanted a hydraulic thumb too but that's beyond my hydraulic capabilities 🙃

Weight of thumb and tilt hitch would start to add up on a tb016. Although I agree itd be a nice combination. A bit of breakout is definitely lost but on that size machine it's a 5 minute job to put a bucket on direct if you need to rip out a bit of hard ground. The rest of the time it speeds the job up no end for the right kind of work. Waiting for a price on one fitted to a kx027-4 but doesnt seem overly forthcoming🤔
