I checked as assumed Perkins but nothing on it in the way of name plates.
Google says Perkins though. It's truly massive for that era. The bonnet is 6ft high. The tractor in the background is a is a 1075 so big enough for that era

510 perkins v8 i cant think where i saw one it wasnt working just a static display sure it was around 140/150 bhp and only around 8 litre i thought it would be more it did look huge.

They did up the power for wagons. They’d stopped production years before I joined the company. As good as they were, they were expensive to build, especially the last few years, when they were sold at a loss. My brother was working at Perkins when the Fletton factory ”mysteriously“ went up in smoke after a canteen fire, and that was the end.

A mate of mine had this ex Swedish army 1080. It was a big old tractor but not particularly nimble for a 2WD, and a fixed hitch so a pain to hitch trailers!

Ford put the V8 Perky in a D series artic unit - I swapped one once for a guy I knew, over a weekend- -had a tendency to hunt on a steady throttle

I got a pleasant surprise in the post today, I've had a Massey Ferguson 1155 sitting in the shed for half a dozen years and always complained in the summer when the vintage tractors go past on their run that I can't take it out as I didn't get a V5 when I bought it. However I sent off a V62 I think it was to apply for one a good few weeks ago and today the V5 arrived no excuses now
It's got the V8540 Perkins in it .
