Ok so I like going to steam rallys both as a punter and as an exhibitor (usually with my winget tractor and my Sunbeam s8 with sidewinder chair) just about to get everything ready for the Chiltern one in Hyde end this weekend between great missenden and chesham. Who else likes wandering round old machines and buying tat or shouldn't I ask๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

We are going to Welland this year.
I use to love going to Dorset as a kid so hopefully my boy enjoys it. And my old man knows a lot of the steam world as he used to have a traction engine and we might get to see his old one

I do, taken my old tractors to 4 since last June, and a couple of village shows. Got another few lined up ๐Ÿ‘
Was hoping to get to Welland for a couple of days but I'll be on a roof in south London that week๐Ÿคฃ might make it for the Saturday or Sunday.
I think I'm starting to be middle aged though, find myself looking at and listening to the stationary engines more and more, I've even bloody bought one ๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿคฃ

Not been to one for years, I always seem to fill the weekends too much. Our local vintage rally has resurrected but I still failed to go. Maybe next year! Poking around old kit is a lovely way to fill a day.

What was traffic like around Welland this morning.we are going tomorrow, planning to get to the area 10 ish at the moment but if traffic and parking is really bad then we will leave a bit earlier as have small kids and don't want to sit in the car for hours

Was there for 8 this morning and pretty much drove straight in. Lot quicker than last year. Was a very good day out with the kids ๐Ÿ‘

Wasn't a big queue at all for us about 9am, 5 or 10 minutes tops from arriving to being parked and heading for the entrance ๐Ÿ‘
