Few of my pictures from Welland. The Mccormick was really interesting, I have a similar blade and hydraulics arrangement waiting to go on my MF203, need to get that done for September/October shows.
Sunday we went on a lovely little boat ride at Symonds Yat, very pleasant but very busy.
Drove home through Monmouthshire and over the Severn, great roads, plenty of time to look at the scenery

It would be good to catch up for a natter if you are going.

I don't have a definite plan yet but probably get there about mid morning Saturday. Did a flying visit on the way home from a job last year on the Sunday early pm. Drove straight in but had to run around and was not long enough to have a proper look around.

funnily enough we were discussing it at five o'clock tonight when I was sat having the coffee mentioned elsewhere
consensus was weather dependent Rob -- Friday was our fave, but the Saturday is supposedly cooler - just a bitch getting in usually on Saturdays

I was there about 10.30 and it took about 15mins to get in. There was no phone signal on most of the site so chances of us being able meet even if we knew we were both on site would have zero I recon anyway.
What were they blending that Polish coal with, ground up truck tyres???

" Country show stopper? New anti-terrorism rules could create major challenges for country shows.
New anti-terrorism regulations due to come into force in Spring 2027 could have significant implications for tractor shows and other historic vehicle events across the UK.
Martyn’s Law, formally the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, requires venues and event organisers to introduce proportionate measures to improve public safety and preparedness for a potential terrorist attack.
Events will fall into two categories based on attendance, including traders. The Standard tier covers events with 200–799 people, while the Enhanced tier applies to those expecting 800 or more.
Standard-tier organisers will be expected to undertake counter-terrorism training, consider potential vulnerabilities and establish procedures for evacuation, invacuation and lockdown.
Enhanced events face additional requirements, potentially including measures such as CCTV, bag searches and vehicle checks, together with more extensive security planning and formal compliance documentation.
This could present difficulties for many shows. Many established events attract well over 800 visitors but are organised by small groups of volunteers operating with limited budgets.
The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs (FBHVC) is therefore calling for a practical and sympathetic approach to implementation.
The Federation wants clear guidance from the regulator, the Security Industry Authority (SIA), including a dedicated helpline to help volunteer organisers understand what constitutes reasonable and proportionate security.
It has also requested a “light touch” approach to inspection and enforcement, with guidance and assistance prioritised over unnecessary bureaucracy.
Event organisers will eventually be required to notify the SIA and provide relevant information about their events and security arrangements, although the precise process has yet to be finalised.
