The technical term is 'Scratter'. There are different types from proper bought hand operated rotary ones, to a simple curved blade on a pole to use in a bucket. You can also use a garden shredder!
Have you got a hydraulic press in the yard there? With your skills I bet you could make a great fruit press.

Use a juicer as per the post. The problem is preserving it, I think it'll start to ferment on its own eventually.

Isn't there some interesting fact about everyone drinking beer (even the kids) in towns back in ye olden days? Because alcohol keeps and doesn't have bacteria in it like the water used to at one time.

Came home to this last week. Guess it was still fermenting.

we've got a little apple press that Pam uses on ours ... the faff is shredding 'em up to go in it ... not got many trees though and doesn't produce a lot and doesn't sit around long enough to turn from anything other than juice

They will be after a pretty penny for those I'd bet...specialised equipment....I prefer the look of the old fashioned manual one...at least gives you and yer mates an excuse to get pissed while turning it...

Back to walling, we’ve widened the drive to this national trust property, and there rangers are rebuilding the wall at a sedate pace! My wallers would have had it done in 2 weeks max this is now week 9 I think. We even stacked the big dug out boulders for them as a foundation. Oh and locals are nosey Rd here

Think it's more a case that you don't work for the national trust unless your retired or unemployable by anyone else. They really do pay penuts. I think most there staff are on minimum wage

i bought 2 x1m course threaded 1 1/4 rod and nuts ,then made handles ,i shall get some pics the weekend

It’s a banking and we’ve widened the road so once built we’ll bury them and recreate the steep soil bank up from the road
