The really expensive part of the Original Chanel no. 5 was scraped out of the anal glands of a living Civet, calling it musk made it less objectionable apparently![]()
https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/bills/cbill/58-04/0192/230192.pdfBig Corporate is the answer to everything as far as Stammer is concerned. AI timber frame built on the green built anyone. Don’t worry if you cant afford it. Big corporate can be your friendly landlord. Don’t worry about any plumbing issues, as Big Corporate will only use Big Corporate to do the call outs. Do need for the local plumber driving around in an old beat up van not paying his share of employment taxation. The Big Corporate will send you someone in a much newer less polluting van that is no not much more than minimum wage and doesn’t have a clue how to fix the problem. You will be without heating and hot water for weeks whilst Big Corporate puts you in the diary for a new boiler. Ohhh hang on…..you wont be allowed to have a new boiler!!!
Get the idea everyone???
Sh!t show here we come!! Hopefully we we’ll eventually see the light of this climate change crap. Nothing we can do about it. The planet is its own eco system and has warmed and cold long before we am started burning fossil fuel as humans!!https://publications.parliament.uk/pa/bills/cbill/58-04/0192/230192.pdf
When this bill get past the house of commons on Jan 24 and I cant see how a lot of people who own there own house will be able to pay for the heat pumps and all the other work to make them heat there home which will be made compulsory
If I remember previously they will make you have 1 by loaning you the money and putting a charge against the propertyhttps://publications.parliament.uk/pa/bills/cbill/58-04/0192/230192.pdf

This was when this was 1st being touted. Don't forget they will bury this s**t deep in the documents and unless someone is good enough to read through them by the time it comes out a lot of the time it's too lateI can't find anything on Google about a ban on gas boilers in existing homes. Infact the only article I can find is one by the mirror about labour reversing a potential 2035 ban on the sale of gas boilers.

Decent set up ASHP will provide full heating at below freezing. Design depends on where you are . We design down to -4c down here in the far southwest but in more northerly counties the minimum external design temp can be lower. What are air source heat pumps like in sub zero conditions? Last week daytime temps didn't get above zero all week, would they still work or would you need an addition heat source for these times?
I like your last sentence of realism.Decent set up ASHP will provide full heating at below freezing. Design depends on where you are . We design down to -4c down here in the far southwest but in more northerly counties the minimum external design temp can be lower.
Nothing wrong with ASHP and it should have been the only thing fitted in new houses for last 10 years at least, but big house builders would make less money and they have too much lobbying power.
Forcing low temp heating systems into existing older dwellings is not a good use of resources .
Crap...in a Hodge podged 1920s bungalow .What are air source heat pumps like in sub zero conditions? Last week daytime temps didn't get above zero all week, would they still work or would you need an addition heat source for these times?
don't forget their kero brethren
We have lined the outside of older bungalows with celotex , boarded and skimmed was lucky it had a big roof overhang so didnt need to touch the roofCrap...in a Hodge podged 1920s bungalow .
But I'm going to get a guru to have a look as I've just been passed details of a guy who knows his stuff I'm convinced mines not setup right.
U'floor works ok on its own , when rads kick in they both drop off. Empty the hot tank and heating goes off etc. 32kw hp . But TBF that was sustained well bellow -5c last week or two.
Failing that I'm going to rip it out once RHI finishes and stick big oil burner back in whilst I still can
12kw stove goes full chat ATM.
