Tigerbite are localish to me and rent out for £240 first day then £140 per day till day 7 then £120 per day afterwards
Also another hire place that seems to be £150 a day flat hire and a guy on Facebook with a tigerbite a bit cheaper- which looking back was the one on hire earlier in this thread and might have downplayed how loud it was as it was proba py one of the loudest things I had heard in a while plus was battered at least than a year old.
Costs wise to buy is 2/3 of a 3t digger which is mental really
The 8t an hour they all seem to spout is in the world of fairy tales would be lucky to get a third of that.
Someone else I know had one on hire for two days might have even been three as they had to extend the hire and they only managed to get through a single garage including concrete base plus a small 1m wide brick store that was added to the back of it in that time

The CR400 is 200 day / 750 week
The CR300 going to cost me 600 for the week.

Yes they are quoting up 7 ton on the CR300 and 'loads more' (can't find a number) on the bigger CR400.

I knew that wasn't going to happen but averaging about 1 ton per hour yesterday on the CR400 was a joke.

I would say the CR300 was doing 2-3 tph today which is passable for what I need.

So long as it’s under 200(might be 250) ton you don’t need a permit.. or to notify anyone, just has to be done within standard working hours.
*refer to official guidance , don’t rely on my sketchy lack of remembering the rules because I just remember the bits I want to see and forget all the bits which may be a inconvenience 😁

Just to add I had already knocked the garage, the small 1m add-on and stockpiled it all to the side ready for crushing plus lifted the concrete base and stockpiled that near to the pile for them to break up and run through

I had some issues with my Tigerbite early doors but most were naivety & operator error, hence why I wouldn’t hire it out. The earliest model that I have is prone to throwing a track if you crush on soft ground & a bitch to get back on but they sorted this on the new model baa? It is F***ing loud for sure, I’m not an ear defender wearer generally but necessary operating this. We’ll get 4-5tph crushing flagstones, brick & block but a lot less with thicker concrete. It’s a tiny crusher you just need to learn to understand it’s limitations & work with it. If I could get grabs away for £100 or less then we’d be keeping those ear defenders off that’s for sure as it’s tedious work.

Assuming it had a reserve, i just assumed would have went for stupid money so didn't even think of seeing the auction.
The last few auctions I've seen a handful of bits that caught my eye and all, by the time fees are added sold for not a huge deal less than new, even the more used items of kit you could get off eBay for less

Those Hitachi's are good machines but that year they where fitted with a keypad immobiliser that doesn't work when wet. Who on earth puts a keypad that doesn't work when wet or with wet hands on a construction machine. Let alone one without a cab.
