do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
assume it's related to Simon Snorkel ...
used to have a factory local, in Ebbwvale maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaany years ago, doing fire engine lifts

had 'industrial relation' problems (and their WDA rent/rates free incentive scheme/period had expired) .. Friday shift clocked off at 4pm ... came to clock on, on the Monday morning - place was empty ... they moved the whole operation, lock, stock and barrel to Scotland in 60 hrs ...... must've taken some organising .. was quite a big unit

what's wrong with the shaft you have ?

almost certainly, but don't think they emanated from Ebbwvale works ... they were into truck mounted platforms

that's an annoying place to snap   ....

if it'd been more central I'd've suggested some 299 Mo/Ni/Cr rods to re-assemble ...
shove it through any restrictive bearing dia.s and split sleeved it ....
's only slow moving after all ...
have done it before and worked fine ...
the 299s'll weld just about anything - and hold .....

that is a PITA .....

any idea who's axles they are ??

A pic of the axles and hubs respectively would be helpful
6 stud and a fairly large PCD for the wheel size ... only 2WD too ..... interesting telehandler on solids in the background  .. waste transfer 'praps
