That kinda puts its size into perspective, More than just a toy

Make sure your ramp stands touch the floor - I had a Brian James plant trailer and it was a very nicely made piece of kit but the props floated in mid air with no way of adjusting and the trailer kept cracking across the middle. It has put me off them tbh, but hopefully they’ve modified the design. So the old trailer wasn't suitable so new 1 bought and collected today.
I will check when I take it off as put it on there the wrong way aroundMake sure your ramp stands touch the floor - I had a Brian James plant trailer and it was a very nicely made piece of kit but the props floated in mid air with no way of adjusting and the trailer kept cracking across the middle. I like that, and had my eye on one... keen to hear how you get onSo the old trailer wasn't suitable so new 1 bought and collected today.

Don't bend the jockey wheel. They are eye wateringMy 1st impressions were it's a beast. It looks rock solid.
Jockey wheel a lot better than my indespension and ifor trailers.
Ramps were smooth and lock easily.
Looking at it I well believe itDon't bend the jockey wheel. They are eye watering
Has it got the auto-open wheel?Looking at it I well believe it
Yes I think it has. It automatically retracts on the last couple of inchesHas it got the auto-open wheel?
Ours didn’t last very long and was swapped by the supplying dealer for a conventional ribbed version with an optional hinged clamp attached to the hitch casting. That was better but the threaded bolt/handle that released and tightened the clamp was a really puny thread, and subsequently also failed. Not a very easy thing to replace/beef up either.
They are a brilliant design but don’t like nose weight.Yes I think it has. It automatically retracts on the last couple of inches
well they shouldn't have much anywayThey are a brilliant design but don’t like nose weight.
well they shouldn't have much anyway... will only be designed to take the legal/design limit

It’s a plant trailer, it is likely going to suffer non-perfect loading from time to time.well they shouldn't have much anyway... will only be designed to take the legal/design limit

Knock the pin out, open it up and slap in the grease. Often they just need another shim washer in there to bring the bearing back into play. It’s a plant trailer, it is likely going to suffer non-perfect loading from time to time.
It’s frustrating that jockey wheels in general are pretty crap, and difficult to maintain. In my experience they tend to eat the bearings right at the top, and almost never have any way of greasing said bearings.

But even a perfectly loaded tandem or tri axle trailer will have a lot more than nose weight on the jockey wheel just to be able to get it off the hitch.so fit a prop, couple it up ... or don't complain when the over stressed jockey gives up the ghost
.. not really designed for handling loaded trailers, other than support whilst parked/coupling/uncoupling
A perfectly loaded trailer shouldn't exceed the towball weight quoted by either the trailer manufacturer (probably won't be able to find that one) or the vehicle/towbar maker. It'll probably only be between 100 and 150kg so not a huge ask for a jockey wheel but yes they are crap in many cases. But even a perfectly loaded tandem or tri axle trailer will have a lot more than nose weight on the jockey wheel just to be able to get it off the hitch.
