well if he'd dropped his jacks onto the deck and taken the weight off the crane's suspension's hydraulics it might not have jumped off :ROFLMAO:
truck obviously came to a blinding halt with a 28+t anchor saying "whoa boy"
poor little Terex
all the gear -no idea
Note chain on floor bottom left 😳 lucky there wasnt something along side...I'd not want that on my lap..

I seem to remember the momentum of of the bounce in the suspension was enough to snap what was deemed to be a pretty decent chain down effort.
Just goes to show there more to it than tie stuff down

they'll have dogged it down against the hydraulic suspension, pressurising it even further ... it should've been dumped and jacked - end of ... obviously no idea what they were handling

With the Multione I use plenty of straps, one each corner and it still moves... had thought of using wheel straps to see if it was better
make your self some axle saddles and pull it down onto them, solid on the bed

My mate’s Avant has tie-down rings in the centre of the wheels - they are funny machines to hold still IME, I guess they possibly flex a bit in the middle when transported which would loosen various straps.

Multione supply a steering lock bar but I've never used it.

I'm a big fan of the 38mm straps. Still a good breaking capacity but easier to handle than the 50mm ones. I have six of them cut down and sealed stashed on every trailer. Strap it so it's pulling fore and aft (or to the centre on certain awkward things) and it's as safe as it can be. I find that a lot easier than throwing a long strap over, walking round the other side of the trailer and then praying it doesn't rub through on the journey.

If you're just strapping something like an articulated loader straight down to the sides, then yes, it's likely to move. Strap it so it's all under tension. If a machine or trailer doesn't have perfect lashing points, I weld them on. Life's too short to struggle.

Whilst that's perfectly secure they still might be picky about it. I can't remember if you have to have 1.5x or 2x the restraint pulling back on the load and the narrower ratchet straps are 1.5t straight line from memory. So 3t pulling backwards. If it's touching the headboard then it can be classed as positive fit depending on whether the mood of the powers that be on the day.
This isn't a critisism this is just pointing out how pathetic they can be when they woke up on the wrong side of the bed

I use wheel straps and get no issues with my norcar moving. Cheap enough to try. Never a good look if you load is at a funny angle when you parked it on there straight.

There's a transport bar that should lock it in position.
I'm still trying to find the best way of tying ours still at the moment, may have to add some extra tie down points on trailer

I’ve only ever moved them on a 9 foot plant trailer which is a bit short to pull them forwards/backwards as I’d prefer. Steering bar would definitely help in that situation.

Second that - also use cut down 3T 38mm straps directly onto the lashing eyes on the mini. It's what they are for ;)
Then make sure I've got two pulling back and two pulling forward. It never moves 😊
