Servo problem

Hiluxman was first to answer let him have it! It gets messy from here on, better to do the repair out of the cab, you need to remove the all 6 servo pipes, mark them well. Then undo the four corner bolts and take the whole servo out, I’ve used gloves and cable ties before to cap the pipes. Let me know when it’s out

On a more serious note, I’ve changed the whole plunger before, in Rexroth units, they unscrewed as far as I can recall?

Put new ones in one of my previous Hitachi's as leaking but for the life of me can't remember how other than looking at it at a guess the fitting for hose unscrews and it all come out from bottom

Yeh good, did you ever watch Danger UXB? The lever it’s self has a 19 mm nut, undo that, might need to hold it in the vice they can be tight, then the big silver flange will undo with or without the UJ, get back to me, good thing so far no leaks!

if you can get it in there / have a big enough vice ..... and three hands .... you DO NOT wanna drop it Dyl .... I'd wrap some tape round your entry port fittings to protect 'em all, 'fore you start man handling it about (or some caps if you have them )
keeps the tish out too

You can cover all the ports if you wish, the poppets are a little sensitive, that’s fine! Once the flange is out of the way, cover each plunger in tooth paste one at a time and work in and out round and round also, they will go black, this is good, the tooth paste won’t damage anything, wash it all off when you have all the plungers moving in and out smoothly! Then once done we can go through the reassembly part
