I'm not disputing that but realistically they need a kicking round the back because no realistic chance of prosecution. Too many excuses

this is from today, it it staggered as I pulled it straight from the camera and not the NVR / cloud

Follows movement, has sound from a microphone or two.. its pretty good. One of the lads took some oil in

This was all auto tracking. There are many other cameras to pull info from but the PTZ is so handy not just for auto track but at night time its on timers to do certain things which can show bits.. Very clever stuff nowadays

What system is this? DM if you like , I need something at my yard really!

Damn that's shite, trackers etc?
Let's turn this thread into somewhere to update/alert of such s**t stuff? At least we are aware then? Unless there's somewhere better.
Might be better in the backroom?

Was the only one that'd I'd not gotten round to fitting my iscolators on to. They tried the e10 but all they managed to do was bugger up the ignition barrel and bend the bonnet.

They squeezed it round a truck (track marks along my bumper corner and then down the side of the lorry and car. Again a tight fit as you can see where they rubbed the tracks on the mudflaps and tyres.

They also took the 4in1 bucket that I bought from harry/Rory.

Fuckers. What immobiliser did you add to the E10?

Guys- all your yards should have an alarm system and a camera at minimum!!

I've just got off the phone to this guy- https://www.livestockeye.co.uk/

Was wanting to get a 4g camera and mount it on a digger, along with a GSM alarm system. Turns out- he runs two 22t and a 45t and that's exactly what he's done! So order placed without hesitation.

Thanks @hiluxman yes that's very much my area. Sounds a very professional job if they had the 8t away and clearly had some time to really try and get that 3t going too judging by how many pieces its in. Clearly the immobiliser did its job but look at the damage caused 😲 That's not the work of some chancers.
The wet windy weather has certainly been to their advantage and I'm sorry you've lost your DX10. Gutting thing is it will be parked up in some quiet place somewhere right now but if you've checked all the usual places in your area what more can you do.
I appreciate these remote cameras etc are all great but the bastards are running signal jammers now so its not a fail safe. All we can do is try to protect our stuff as much as possible and hope they go for someone else's kit down the road.

What else can we do to protect it though?

Pray. Unfortunate thing is if you try and immobilise stuff to stop them getting it it can end up in such a state you'd wish they'd gone with it never to be seen again. There was 2 quads nicked off neighbouring farms near me a few week back which 2 days later were recovered. One wasn't damaged but the other the farmer wishes hadn't come back due to the state of it. They reckon they rode it the 30 odd mile to where they stashed it and rolled it on the journey at least once. Apparently the done thing nowadays with trackers etc is to stash kit somewhere for a day or two before moving it on so they see if it's being tracked.

So this specialist plant theft division of the police isn’t working too well in some parts of the country? Round here it seems to be farmers more than plant that’s getting targeted.

The amazing thing was the 2 quads that were recovered were actually spotted on the back of a transit car transporter by an off duty copper

Well actually quite a bit I think. Without giving away all my tricks on a public forum basics such as Immobiliser, tracker, unique keys are good at slowing them down. Ram locks, track locks, parking machines away from hiab access, near occupied buildings, tell the client nobody touches machines except you, blocking machines in with others, secret switches, disconnecting wires and buying JCB kit all helps deter them from trying in the first place.
The machine gun nest nearby also proves effective

Gunners point about telling the customer that nobody touches the kit is good, I make a point of telling my customers that anything I leave on site is owned outright and anyone trying to take it is stealing it 🙂
