I was on a site this week that had a camera system with 9 cameras recording, I watched it for a moment and it seemed to be panning along and zooming in on areas where there was movement on the screen, nobody was controlling it, it just seemed to be doing all this on its own accord. When the movement stopped it panned out to full screen again. Was quite smart.
Have something similar back home in the yard, cameras and sensors all round, and think I’m right in saying that if one sensor gets triggered, they’ll spin round to it and follow the movement, then go back to default scanning when it’s gone.

Nothing of mine gone
the trouble with this site is lack of power as the sub station caught fire earlier this year so all got disconnected (I did get a good weigh in though)👍
Well that’s a bonus Paul, didn’t they have a selector grab away a couple of years ago from that site??

I like cake
this is from today, it it staggered as I pulled it straight from the camera and not the NVR / cloud

Follows movement, has sound from a microphone or two.. its pretty good. One of the lads took some oil in

This was all auto tracking. There are many other cameras to pull info from but the PTZ is so handy not just for auto track but at night time its on timers to do certain things which can show bits.. Very clever stuff nowadays

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
my main gates have 25mm hardened steel chain with some mega padlock, youtube has it somthing like 18 minutes to cut through twice to pull the padlock out with perfect conditions (vice, new batterys etc) Anyhow the reseller of the chain suggest i got the strongest chilli powder known to man and mixed it with water.. put into one of the water canons you can buy for the garden... So if you ever do catch them if you can fire that at them.

No idea if it would work but it sounded fun. I did look at a water valve electronically controlled to direct water to our laneway should a intruder find himself there. app driven is really not hard at all
thunder flashes on trip plates or remotely controlled with 'an app?' ... they'd think WWIII had started :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: ..... you'd want balls to stick around after a few serious bangs and flashes ...... but i still prefer 240v strategically placed ;):giggle::giggle:

I'd suggest looking at Umbo Computer Vision Cameras. Had a demo a month or so ago for work - very clever system as it can identify people from animals.

You can set a line on a wall, and as long as they don't cross that line, they can walk past and not set the system off, but as soon as they do...

You can see it identify humans in red, but while it identifies the humans outside of the line, it wouldn't alert until they were inside the line. You can also see it ignores the dog!

1.30pm Friday afternoon.
Saw them doing it, gave chase, got the reg of the 1 year old get away car. Obviously it was reported. Whats happened since.?

Nothing at all, we live in a lawless country now. Wiring fences up to lamposts and nail guns are the only way forward.

Plod Has is had it . Until we get to elect a local sheriff like the yanks who will prioritise what the locals want sorting and can be sacked if useless nothing will change.

3 strikes law as well, 15 years no parole or time off. Stack the scum 3 deep in in unheated cells.

id remove all victimless crimes (traffic) off the police so they are forced to tackle the crime epidemic in this country not helped by importing a large chunk of the third world.

Unfortunately the only way you will stop it is for the punishment to suit the crime.... We have no desire to punish people anymore, and want to "rehabilitate" them. This leads to a issue that people who want the easiest option will steal even if the odds of success are 50/50..... If there caught they get free board and lodge.

Same with Benefits... those that wish to will do naff all and live off the state.

I’ll give you an Aymen on that. However Getting the problems with society sorted will be harder that making it more difficult to steel your stuff than the next guy along the road.

I had my wallet and laptop nicked from my van about a month ago.

reported to police, got text with crime reference number and that’s the last I’ve heard...

figured that might be the case so ended up going to all the places the b***ard had used my contactless card and got pics of him at several of the shops, exactly matching the times the cards were used. You can even see my wallet in the footage. Banged to rights basically.

called incident management unit several times but they don’t even answer the phone!!!

so ended up sending screenshots to a few friends and contacts who shared the photos, put on Facebook etc. By lunchtime i had name and address, by 5pm I had laptop back and told the guy (via third party as he wouldn’t meet me) that I’d give him a week to get the rest back or would hand all info to police. Rang incident management, no answer again, left a voicemail. Still heard nothing! The only time they rang was to ask if I need counselling to help cope with the stress of being robbed FFS.

It strikes me that the officers on the ground (who I’ve a great deal of respect for) are under so much pressure to hit targets and fill in forms that they can’t cope.

Surely if the prison system can’t handle the number of convicts as it is then small criminals (like the guy who stole my stuff) could be utilised on proper community service programmes with meaningful terms doing jobs across the country under authoritative supervision and in turn save the councils money that they supposedly don’t have anyway. Stuff like filling potholes at night, cleaning bogs in train stations, handing out food in food banks etc

if you'd like to take it further ... set it all out in a letter to the chief constable with Ccs to the asst chief and the chief inspector .... they will have to respond but be prepared to possibly get put on a stop on sight list  ... depending on how ethical they all are:unsure:
wasting your time dealing with the lower ranks ... it needs to come from the top down .... we all know what rolls down hill ;)

How the van owner outsmart the thieves
But then the police got interested in the car instead.

The Scottish owner of the mint Transporter was tired of the thief's rats taking interest in the car, so he came up with something brilliant.

Disguise the mint car as a scrap heap.
As I said so done. The Glasgow paint company Clyde's Wraps took on the job and turned the car into a real rust pile - apparently.
And people who see the car are obviously fooled.
"It only took three days for the police to wave him to the side and wonder what happened to all the rust," Clyde's Wraps writes on its own website.

Seen article this weekend some racists in Wetherspoons sent banana to black guy at table. Naughty and we all know the meaning but plod have got involved on account of investigating a racist incident. One can only assume they are doing this to be pc and garner public support. I can see so many excuses for the perpetrator no realistic prospect of conviction. If plod actually took proper low level crime seriously like theft instead of vanity exercises then they would get the public support they desire.

I think whoever made that order knew what they were doing, and should rightfully be done for it. It's unacceptable in this day & age.
