Sany opens parts warehouse in Scotland
Chinese digger manufacturer Sany is looking to improve its UK customer service with the opening of a parts warehouse in Scotland.
confused OllieWell this guy ran 2 of them and would disagree with most of that….
Is it buy one get one free at the moment?is now a good time to say I’ve nearly bought 2 new liugongs![]()
That's the worst thing about plant. It's all message for prices. It's probably down to the fact that they just make the numbers up as they go.I saw a post on 8t and under facebook group where someone was struggling for a Sany part and local dealers weren’t very helpful. Can’t find it now after searching.
If they’re such good value for money, why aren’t they posting prices up for all to see. Lots of “message for more details” type posts![]()
Just don't mention carter...That's the worst thing about plant. It's all message for prices. It's probably down to the fact that they just make the numbers up as they go.
Not sure if he is on here but one guy was selling sumwards then on to some other Chinese brand that has just come over, doesn't seem to be many sticking with it

What others did you look at ?no but it’s buy 2 new ones for the price of 2 second hand other band ones, I’m going to try and go over tomorrow to try them out. Tbh I’ve looked at several other make new diggers lately and not one of them has done anything to impress me

"ensure we offer the best aftermarket service possible"
Ashley Harden has run a 13t and 8t Sany for a couple of years now and from his twitter posts - I can only assume he's had no end of trouble obtaining parts and getting his dealer to sort issues. Only today he posted the tweet I put up here which no doubt references his experience with the Sany product.
I've driven the smaller 2.8t at a demo day and cant say it drove badly. Cab's needed modernising inside and a few details could have been sharper, but certainly have driven worse. However its the backup that sells the 2nd machine and maybe Sany have realised this a bit late for poor Ashley who's suffered by the sounds of it for being an early adopter of the brand.
sounds like a decent parts warehouse is long overdue thenHe used to praise them non stop on Facebook, wondered why he stopped
If a 1.5 tonner is £4k cheaper when I buy it, it doesn’t really matter if it’s £4k cheaper after 10 years, although obviously it needs to be taken into account, i more bothered about having a machine I like and will perform well, if it stays in one piece it won’t owe me anything after 5 years anywayI only have one simple thing to say about any of the non main stream brands. Residual.
I understand your thought process. But if you come to shift it after a couple of years, it is still easier selling a main stream brand than a no name!! The gamble is, will it still be in one piece after 5 years!!If a 1.5 tonner is £4k cheaper when I buy it, it doesn’t really matter if it’s £4k cheaper after 10 years, although obviously it needs to be taken into account, i more bothered about having a machine I like and will perform well, if it stays in one piece it won’t owe me anything after 5 years anyway![]()
