the P38 unless dead locked has all sorts of tish going on even when parked and draws a lot of juice .... on a full battery, you are lucky to have enough power to crank it after 10-14 days stood.
were famous for being a problem at airport parking
if you didn't have the security info. to reset them, even once you'd gotten into them they were still dead in the water.

I just took ours on a 6 mile round trip to the butchers. Hopefully put more into it than I took out. I watched a video on YouTube where that Harry's farm guy went up to clarksons and they chatted about their range rovers. I think their model is the l322? Anyway Clarkson was saying when filming they had some newer models they opened and shut the doors multiple times in a day, ecu fired up each time and flattened the battery.
My disco 4 does that ,it's a twat

Hot tub now repaired and back in use 😎
There were two faults that needed addressing:
IMG_0931.jpeg

Heater was open circuit - only converted/replaced it 5 years ago 😳
IMG_0935.jpeg
Original was a 2kW 5.5" job and all replacements are now the upgraded 2kW 10" job. Only £120 on Amazon ;)
IMG_0936.jpeg

2hp pump was leaking so wrestled that out...
IMG_0955.jpeg

New ceramic pump seals were only £16 from eBay :giggle:

And there is is slipped in under the Spanish Theme Pergola using my Hyster FLT yesterday. And now heating up with our surplus solar PV power 😎

Pergola Post Repair during the week
You will have noticed that my previous photo showed the post beside the hot tub had a shiny new galvanised post support installed....
IMG_0981.jpeg

So Terry, my 90 year old neighbour opposite, came over and supervised :)
IMG_0983.jpeg

Old post had rotted out at ground level, like wot they all do! So cut it to size for roughly the new support height.
Then screwed a 300mm sleeper screw in and Mr. Crowbar helped me get it out...
IMG_0984.jpeg

Rotten action came in one piece. Then Mr. Henry helped me hoover the hole nice and clean for concrete...
IMG_0988.jpeg

Pulled a few blocks about and inserted a few halves. It's bolted down with about 300mm of threaded rod.
Mr. Bodgit and Scarper said I'd a good job

Busy weekend - who remembers "Radio Mi Amigo" or "Radio Caroline"
IMG_1050.jpeg

On Friday morning cycled into Harwich with my mate. Took a photo beside the RNLI Station and LV18 the home for "Radio Mi Amigo" and also a floating museum. Well worth a visit if you are down this way ;)
IMG_1062.jpeg

Friday evening 22 members of Harwich Runners joined about 300 others for the 5 mile Championship Challenge Race. It was mixed road and trail running, very hot with many hills 🥵
IMG_1080.jpeg

So glad to have got it finished...
IMG_1083.jpeg

The big bonus was that it was at the local football club - Brantham Athletic FC. While my mate Kev got us burger and chips from the kitchen I got the beers in. Nicola is such a superb runner for our club and loads of fun
