I've driven the e10 and tb210.

Personally I didn't like the takeuchi. Nothing really wrong with it. But one thing I found the bobcat is alot more comfortable to sit on all day because the lever pods move outwards where the tacuchi is fixed
Pretty much goes to prove opinions vary on whats the best but concensus is usually found on whats just shite 👍

So who's driven a e10, tb210r and the kubota u10?
How do they compare?
Depends what's important to you.
The E10 is the most compact but flaws are bucket retention/ lift height and poor paint/ rubbing hoses. Lovely designed machine otherwise and the most ergonomic of the three.
The Takeuchi TB210r is bigger than the other two in terms of physical size and its arm - more akin to a 1.5t machine, and it drives like one too. Goes down to 750mm from memory so would still fit through some garden gates but beware of the length of it with the cage and arm down to get under obstacles - its a bigger machine to manoeuvre. I also don't find it that stable, the arms too big for it, not really a micro anymore!
The Kubota U10 is my pick, the -5 with the servo pods drives as nice as a micro ever will. Boom geometry is excellent and you know the build quality is there. Downsides are only goes down to 750mm which isn't enough for some gates and the pods don't move in like the bobcat ones do to save you dragging them down walls.

Only had a quick play on the tb210 ended up buying the dx10/E10 off of Rory and Ollie recommendations.

Tb210r has around 300mm extra of tipping height and is more powerful, only issue beside being an extra 40mm wide, it's also still on 25mm pins.

Haven't tried the Kubota but unlike the dx10/E10 and tb210 the roll over bar folds over the boom so anywhere narrow that you have to turn will result in having to take the fold down part of the bar off

Width is an important point and the 750mm width was another reason I went E10 and to be fair there has been quite a few times where the dx10 has only just got through.

The new case "micro" looks smart but is far too wide

Gents. brand new Takeuchi TB210R - £16,750 + vat. Go/No go?
You've come a long way from a £6k Chinese digger!

Price sounds OK. Are you sure you want new rather than a secondhand lightly used model at half the price?

And are you sure you want a micro and don't want to get a 1.5-1.9t instead? You'd get a brand new Hitatch ZX19 for that money- well respected machines.

i think ive convinced myself (with the help of people on here) the chinese ones are a false economy, the Carter ones dont look half bad though - 'king of the chinese?' them ZX19's are going for 21k + vat from what I can see. I think 1.5 - 1.9t would need me to build another outbuilding ! Assume 1.5-1.9 are wider body wise

Carter are terrible, just search on here!

Dealers are keen to sell currently. I have seen more than one person on FB 8 ton and below group be offered a ZX19 at 17k. They slim down to 990mm wide, and will do a lot more in a day than any micro. There are a lot of secondhand machines around for 10-12k also, often with sub 1000 hours.

If your not a connaisseur and more weekend warrior then a tidy used kub u17 at about 10/11k would loose very little money when your done.
perhaps im looking in the wrong place but I struggle to find anything with less than 200 hours and a couple of years old, its either older and higher hours or both !

It's not even 300mm width difference really is it. For essentially twice the machine. And the 19 with tailswing has track pedals and even a proper cab option. Also it's easy to forget a larger machine is a lot more forgiving than a micro if you aren't used to them.

Rs machinery have some u17's in with 200hrs but they are asking just shy of 19k for them, why 200hrs ....someone with an under 200hrs machine is looking for near new money ...circa 700hrs would be a sensible sort of number to see a worthwhile drop in value from new and yet not be banged about necessarily.

I haven't driven takeuchis tbh the hire firms we use are Hitachi and hire Kubota and the occasional bobcat. Tbh unless you are spending a lot of seat time on it I doubt you will notice much between any major brand. My only preference is expanding tracks. If you aren't working in confined spaces then tailswing is an advantage. More hydraulic lines are an advantage if you want a grab in future.
And I'm not sure about tekuchi but with a lot of the companies run the same undercarriage from 1.5t to 1.9t so the Hitachi zx19 becomes quite a good proposition.
