If I remember it was all going to get off loaded to the tip🙈, this way they had two useable products🙂, just tied the mesh (used that to give it a bit of strength) to the harris panel with tie wire and away I went...got a few strange looks when I was setting everything up, but when they returned after an hour and saw the start of two sample piles starting to grow......I got the nod of approval and that was me set for another two weeks worth of work🙂
Got a crusher due on site shortly and could do with screening a mixed pile to add to he crushed. Don’t have a turned upside down skip but do have heras panels and some mesh!!! Watch this space!!!!

You could use anything, rest it against a couple of packs of bricks, with a sheet of ply or something to protect the bricks?, anything really will do.

That looks amazing. Sadly I'm too far away from you mate (central scotland) second time I've had to turn down a great offer from you! Cheers anyway.

We’ve thought about riddle buckets before now and always come to the conclusion that machine wear vs output doesn’t really make sense. Ended up building a screener deck to go along side our 5 tonner or smaller machine. The screens we purchased from Graeples a local firm who make the meshes for all applications. Custom sizes for not a lot of money. Think the 30mm aperture in 8mm bar cost us £150? It was 2m long by 1.2m wide?

This is our first attempt at a screener. Sold this recently and gonna build a mk2 with electric motor and conveyors....

The very ends (last two inch or so) of the screens are folded round to form hooks and sheet steel crimped on to hold the lattice together and provide a means to secure the screens on the machine. The tensioners are holding a length of flat bar tight against the hooked end to stretch and support the screen. Hence the slotted hole. Flat is led on its side effectively.

Car springs for rear, custom (stiffer, shorter) springs for the front. Worked very well and simple belt drive to a shaft with spinning weights.

A simple drawing but I’m sure you get the idea. The hooked ends just fitted nicely round the flat and the bolts provided a means to apply lots of tension.

I'd guessed summat along those lines JD .... nice mesh panels those ...... that woven mesh can be quite hard to find in larger sizes

Thats brilliant. You could sell those, better than most of the shite I've seen online going for thousands.

Riddle bucket is perfect to have in your arsenal for these little bits and bobs - just started some work on a renov project and can stock the stone fairly cleanly, the mortar is earth so riddles out easy and put it aside for the for the builder.

It is no longer in the hedgerow. Firmly outside the workshop. 3 out of 4 tyres are holding air. Replaced 2 of the 4 deck springs. Plugged in the genny......no shakey shakey!!!
Fortunately 2 houses down......about 500metres away....is my emergency “I need help” electrical wizard.
5mins with a testing thingy and we have shakey shakey!!!
Video doesn’t do the shakey shakey justice!!
Not sure how to post the video!!
