Somehow the Karen’s seem to get into your head and fester. Wish I could just shrug it off. One bad egg can really psychologically outweigh a dozen great customers.

I think @Stroppymonkey hit the nail on the head above, I’m happy to say I have a good amount of customers that I work for regularly, some right from starting as an apprentice 19 years ago. It’s new customers that expect the earth for peanuts then cause problems!

Get the process started straight away will take 2 or 3 months before being able to apply to the small claims court. It's always a roll of the dice plus it's not any of her business what you paid for materials, you don't have to agree to anything at mediation and it will just go through to the court side, although it will be some feckwitt with zero understanding of building work or costs

No price agreement is a bit of a ballache/issue but get a 2 or 3 estimates from other plumbers for the works and you will be able to show your not trying to rip anyone off.

Seems to be a common theme with solicitors or other similar stature people where they think they are above others, worth calling her bluff as not sure if it's true but not great for solicitors to end up with a ccj so will potentially back down and pay up.

Pretty sure that's a big no no for them

tell her you will take up the matter with her ruling body if she continues to act as she is

and then there's 'the law society' itself ... they do not like any of their 'team' being called into disrepute over anything

Generally on here people are very fair, if someone comes on here and acts like a twat your going to get called out on it, if you can't take it on the chin and crack on then it's not the place for you, trying to reduce this place to the level of the majority of online forums by trying to be clever isn't going to serve any purpose either.
