I bought 2 pro lock hitches. £413 each plus lifting eye on 1 =£40. Plus £30 delivery all plus vat of course.

Question is are you happy with the product ? At the end of the day do you buy the product on the basis you’ll get some free pens and a hat or because of the quality of the product ? I’ve spent £4000 + with them in the last 18months and find the product and customer service yo have been fantastic the free pens and hats are a bonus

i'd just bolt the pins in .... PITA to get back out if you need toWhat did you expect - a nice Christmas Hamper

Read the current thread thought i would up date this thread and the chap can read this this thread.
I wouldn't want to go back to not having my quick hitches. One thing its handy for is removing all my buckets from the trailer easy.

@diggerjones how do you rate your Hartford Pro Lok after using it a few months? Routy56 seems to be very happy with the Hartford QH and I just wondered if you share his experience?
Still considering my options. A Semi QH is half the price of the Hartford but you end up with a bit of wear over time. Now I have to decide if the extra money is worth it with the amount I use the digger at the moment.

TBH ..... ANYTHING that takes up excessive wear/slop in the pick up has to be seriously considered .. got a spring hitch on Jake ... and it's diabolical .. admittedly it's old and in need of a lot of fettling ... but even then'd have limited grip, in comparison ... adjustment, whether it be mechanical or hydraulic is deffo the way to go to cure slop

A tight quick hitch is only as good as the rest of the pins and bushes been tight.
Ive got spring hitch on 2 and a geith wedge lock type on other and direct on other little machine.
I personally prefer the spring type.
And as said already if you get a decent/manf approved one they click in with a flick of the bucket...so youve only a saftey pin to put in.

One plus for a spring hitch with a bit of slack when teamed with a well worn in ditching bucket scraping up crap off grass its a bad to beat combo. We cleared a lot of fields up after floods in 09 did the bulk with 8 ton and used 3.5 tonner with miller spring hitch for the final scrape. Day we left you'd not have known there'd been any gravel/silt there.
