They are the most likely hoses to have a problem with on the machine but it's more to do with the fact they are right in the end of the arm. You do have to be more aware especially on smaller machines if you digging among roots or moving a lot of branches etc. I rarely have any bother but if i was speccing a 1.5 tonner purely for hiring out on self drive no way would i put a hydraulic hitch on.

The hose routing on my 2.8t is quite tucked away, kind of inside the tipping links. Have ordered hydraulic hitch for my new 1.9t also.

Mine are tucked away ok as well, not as good on the 1.9 ton. Ironically best tucked away is on 4 tonner and that's the only one I've had bother with. Stone got in on top of hitch digging deep trench and i didn't realise until i heard the crunch when emptying bucket
Pulled banjo bolt out the end of the block on the dipper.

I thought I would put this here to help anyone in the future decide on quick hitches.
This is what I mean by they come worn out.
It's not hugely visible in the video but this is how much play is in a brand new hitch and brand new bucket having done less than an hours work.

Get good with the bar..... change a 1.5t bucket in under a minute if you get good
Greasy pins and a suitable bar to hand it's not that hard to change the bucket on a 20 tonner on your tod. It's the bod who "knows" that the bucket must remain firmly on the ground who makes it hard
