The toolstation pipe is cheap and handy to buy, but seems to be a fraction oversize. Won’t fit in a pipe cutter and it’s a right tight fit into couplings even with the right silicon grease. You don’t stand a chance fitting the delicate double swivel type joints.

I've found it to be the toolstation fittings been mega tight rather than the pipe. When you compare them to most fittings you can see they are tight on the seal.

Normal fittings go on fine.

Socketless good if on short runs with lots of chambers bends etc and you generally keep double socket in stock , I’ve got my site stack and keep it pretty much full of double socket and some single socket joints. If on short run generally cut the socket off to get a male end etc
Funny I do the opposite. I buy plain end and single socket bends 90% of the time as usually doing short runs and all bends going directly into socket on inspection chamber. Keep a few double sockets around for fiddly bits but rarely use them.

I find less waste with the plain end pipes as offcuts can be used right down to 110mm long (using as a stub to connect two double socket bends for example).

The rubber connectors can leave a lip between the clay and the plastic but if you cut a slither of 4 inch plastic and put it around the outside of the plastic pipe it is enough to make the inverts perfectly flush and will also still seal
Will have to give this a go, always dubious that they're lined up properly. Plus means even less pipe waste 😏
