on the subject of drainage .. does anyone know if it's possible to get a connector that can be bonded inside a 110 upstand to give it a collar to drop an extension into? ... want to raise the vent in our septic and some pr*ck's cut it off flush with the concrete top covering 🤬 ... 's what I want the conc. rectangular rings for too, to raise the inspection/access cover 'bout 400mm ... want to raise the G/L on top of/around it .... has a habit of getting flooded in heavy rain/wet conditions ... in a low spot and have bunded around it, but raising all the G/L 'll hopefully cure it , especially if the raiser gets a good rendering
we call that a inny ,also an outty is available

Yeah it’s daft , but some merchants are on 60% another I use a lot are 76% and I think Giles gets even more than 82%? So they all take the piss one way or another!!
Was on 87% on some poly pipe bigger civil stuff with markos 82% at Travis but it’s all gone up so much recently. Trying out a new online guy who been pestering me for some business it’s not polypipe and stuff so cheap it’s gotta be generic but worth a try and 20 of each fitting to stock up the sitestak just last us the year

Markos recently sent a 160mm ts Y the bill price was ÂŁ67 I questioned why no discount they said that is discounted list price is ÂŁ250 ish! Generic were ÂŁ28, if installed correctly liberally gravelled/pipe bedding and concreted if shallow should not fail with just drain stuff passing through them

That's not that old supersleave you should be able to get fittings for that .
supersleve was nice stuff to use i always thought, the pipes were gun barrel straight a bit more harder to use than plastic but a better job all around. mind i wasnt paying for it though, it was a fair bit lighter than hepsleve or naylor clay pipe.

Went with the smaller one i think both were suitable but there was so much slack on the big one.

I liked it too. It’s almost like plastic has made it too easy 🤪

Well made the connection this morning was a right pita. As well as the pipe nearly being full of black sludge i had to push out (only grey water upstream) that supersleeve stuff seemed to splinter so easy and it wasnt from being smacked with the shovel it was all pea gravelled around. I cut 2 pockets out to get the 4" cutter in without guard and supported the pipe underneath. Upstream cut went fine downstream one the pipe splintered right at the bottom and i had to chase it further along. Luckily there was just enough room to get the flex on before the benching. Ive never had that happen with salt glaze can be pretty brutal with that. I filled it up for a test and was losing a couple of litres over a quarter of an hour but atleast its back live for her kitchen gully. Im going to bung the back of the ic base ive put in aswell as where i had it bunged in the pic and just make sure my section is watertight. Not much i can do about the old existing further upstream. That said i dont think theyre too bothered about water here see the downpipe connection no wonder the big root was there.

We’ve got a chain cutter somewhere for salt glaze and clay does a good job in tight situations or if you’ve got one 14” ts420 plunge through in one cut
I was being so gentle with it couldnt believe the way it splintered. Ive never connected onto or really worked with the more modern clay is all supersleeve dead brittle like that?

Anyone used brett martin underground pipe before. Is it any good or superlightweight crap? Ive sent 2 lots of different brands back in past, one for being too light and flimsy one for being bent like bananas but that was probably more to do with how merchant stored
