Basically the EA's .. (or whatever the tw*ts're called now) LIDAR based maps are so unrealistic they might as well burn them ... the flood risk map for Abergavenny shows most of the town under water, with the bits that aren't, at the lowest levels and the wettest bits 30-40 ft above them .... anyone with half a brain cell and some local knowledge can see how farcical they all are ...
I dare say that most other places have similar problems, that local knowledge'd recognise

Sure you aren’t holding the map upside down, Graham?

Unbelievable today. Started off sunny ended up snowing. The weather is doing my head in so much atm. When do we get a break. Have had an e10 on hire. Are these s**t at tracking or is it just the one I've hired. Literally no guts. Not sure if it's all the shitty clay which obviously isn't helping but it wasn't great on the stone yesterday either.

They can be crap if youve not got your weight right. Ie tracking whislt your arm/body is side on. Tranafer all the weight to front and she will track like a gooden. Both mine will plough through most things so long as youve weight right

Told the client yesterday I would not be rushing in this morning. Snow forecast and with main road flooded I thought I would sit it out at home and do some material schedules. I phoned him at 12noon to say I am still waiting for the snow to start so not sure if I will come in! The weather today has probably been the best day in 5months yet the forecast would have had it as one of the worst!!

Was going to concrete footings today, glad I called it and didn’t bother digging out yesterday!! Would of just been a mess, so just flatted the whole site and hopefully the wind will dry it all on Sunday and be dry(ish) Monday/Tuesday/next 6 months please.

Then the heavens opened all afternoon.............
.......Tuesday was the best day of the week and got the job done

Especially impressive when your under it - apparently its where the 12m cast iron blast furnace used to be housed - in the pic below you can just see the tracks/bridge across the road (middle left) where the rail carts used to go across to tip in it - its part of Wood fired steel manufacturing site/village - really interesting place to work (y)

Well the day off hedge cutting got cancelled when the wife decided she needed to go to Cribbs Causeway to get her phone screen replaced after it didn’t take to being dropped on the drive. Haven’t been there for many years and this place was certainly not there the last time I went.

So while waiting I thought I would take in the retail experience to look for a new pair of trousers. My best trousers last quite a few years as they are rarely worn. I didn’t have much luck as the latest fashion seems to be this.
It was also rather surprising to find a Tesla showroom on the first floor. Very interesting, have never sat in one before, I would describe it as ikea meets technology. Not convinced by the sound of the doors and boot when they closed. A bit of a rattle rather than a proper thud!

was in Cribbs - 1st time in years - last year, the day I went over to view the Ajax ... Pam came for the ride - and the retail therapy sesh ..... saw the Tesla showroom and was shocked at how small the car was ... couldn't say I was impressed either ... and'll be a long time 'fore I rely on the 'energiser bunny' to get me from A to B :unsure::LOL: .....
was a 'spensive day that, 'tween the milling machine shop and the jewellers, where Pam found just what she'd been looking for, for ages :oops: ... but she's worth it :giggle: ... has been awesome the last few weeks .. yet again !! (y)
