Monmouth took a bollocking yesterday A LOT of water - everywhere ... plenty of pix on line
don't think Aldi in Aber'll be open for a day or six either .. river beside my old yard and probably some of the Cibi (with the overflow system that obviously didn't work), I mentioned last night, too, went through it
(had a hell of a barney with the EA over their 'flood alleviation system', installed in the '70s that they didn't seem to have a clue about, 'til I found the ex-Welsh Water guy who I knew and who was in charge of the job, to 'enlighten' them about it - had to back down after that and revise their flood map for my site )

absolutely nothing other than blue sky forecast here 'til Saturday ..... 'sposed to have been a -4C frost here last night ... it rained instead , which's turned white

was blowing like fook at 6.45 this morning and the white stuff was horizontal ..... thought if this keeps up we're in for a dose .. all the fence posts up the drive at 07.30 were white as but'd blown over by the time we dropped Harper at nursery at 08.30 ... sun out by the time we got home at 09.00 .. wind enough to cut you in half though - been a bitter day stood at me block splitter ...... and totally not forecast at all

much the same here ... anywhere the sun doesn't get to is still white/frozen solid .....
and the wind is back - went calm yesterday evening but'll take yer ears off this morning
lit the wood burner first thing, as the boiler's still misbehaving ..
lights/burns fine and gets up to temp., then locks out and refuses to trip back in 'til the water temp. has dropped back to cool ...
and it's away again with a reset ... 'til ....... etc., bloody annoying
