Just been, soaking and bitter cold after six hours. The working areas are like window boxes and it looks like they're under orders not to do more than take the topsoil off.

And that will be the end of what was a good show if the last statement is factual. I've made the decision not to go, LAMMA last year was a waste of time due to the showgrounds crap weather and I foresaw a similar thing this year. The window box crap is another irritation. Bollocks to it, It seems If one wants entertainment one must get some demo machines yourself, a few mates and a barbecue.

Just been, soaking and bitter cold after six hours. The working areas are like window boxes and it looks like they're under orders not to do more than take the topsoil off. Worth a look if you're on the doorstep, but I wouldn't drive more than an hour for it. Did try a Kobelco blade runner with a, I think, SMP tilty, was quite impressed.
Well at least I wasn’t the only one thinking that, wasn’t bothered about the rain or cold, but everything just felt claustrophobic and small, there were walk ways down everywhere, but yeh, I was thinking the same thing on the way home, I wouldn’t drive more than an hour to go to it. Would of rather taken the day off and gone to one off the big county shows instead unfortunately. And the Rail side was a bit of disappoint to, not what it was made out it was going to be like. Not sure if it will be there in 2 years time. Think after the success of LAMA at the start of the year, could quite easily see them moving there.

I went yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it.started raining at thetford and got worse all the way to Peterborough and continued to rain.took an umbrella and got soaked.cant help the weather and could never have been foreseen.everystand I visited I was treated brilliantly unlike farm shows where no one gives a s**t,and I’m primarily a farmer.got a few quotes for a ripper tine and prices varied enourmously.big thanks to smt, molson, prolec for coffee and all the others who offered.hope it returns in a couple of years

just read that a digger on the sany stand has gone through the water main and some cable
I was aware that the water pipe was found on the tackuchi stand early doors yesterday, and hats off to the driver, he felt something, and rather than pulling it out, (like he was told to do by a rep or someone) stopped and investigated.

Would of been more amusing if he had pulled it out.... Plantworx 2019's Live Cat and Genny Demonstration Area :ROFLMAO:

That's why the power was off when I got home. I've got to say the guys on the stands were brilliant, but they were getting as cold as the rest of us. Couldn't believe there was actually a queue at one of the ice cream vans.

Someone hit a water main and someone else hit a cable. You cant write this kind of comedy, the man who scanned each plot for £400/ time is getting a bollocking that's for certain. Its a shame because it limited what you could do in the test plots on some stands and you cant really get a feel for a large machine just playing with topsoil.

Beyond that, I felt the show was kind of split into two halves, all the major manufacturers were over one side and the smaller guys over the other side of the (unused) arena were almost abandoned. I spent a good couple of hours with Neil from Nasco talking through the Idig system and if a dozen people went past in an hour I'd be surprised. But then it wasn't crazy busy on the big stands either now I think about it.

I had a good mooch around and cant think of anything I saw this year where I thought WOW that's new or smart. Just seems like everyone's made their machines stage 5 complaint and haven't bothered with anything else.

I did meet a couple of people I've only spoken to online so it was nice to put a face to a name and got a hog roast from Engcon (no banner Rory, soz) but if I hadn't of wanted to research the Idig system, I'd of been pretty disappointed with the whole show really. Despite the mud in 2017, I think it was a better show. Thats not to say manufacturers hadnt made an effort, it just didnt feel as big and well put together.

We came up yesterday for a quick look around but today was brilliant despite the weather, really enjoyed dragging the old man around so I could dribble over ever machine 🤣 on a serious note those new cat mini diggers are fantastic well beyond the rest and as for the Takeuchi rep who tried to compare a 2 ton machine with a 7 ton machine I give up with them
