I’ve a big batesons 6x12ft twin axle plant trailer, suffering with the rural roads and farm tracks with ruining wheels. When fully up with 3.5 ton and before anyone says I’m driving like a vicar avoiding everything and only crawling on the rough tracks. So frustrating.
so options are buy an ifor gh146 triaxle for £4.6k from Barlow or hfb on the bigger sarveo 13 tyres like my ifor tipper. Or batesons do me one for £3.2k in smaller 10x5 size so it’s not sticking out past the pickup truck but 3 ton dumper won’t fit on, keep other one just for d
or can I upgrade the wheels/tyres on my batesons or is triaxle only way to go when fully up and pot holed lanes.
edit:
simon Bateson says no point going triaxle just scrub more and he recommended trying the spare off my ifor with the savero tyres and he thinks they should fit.
savero and wheels are about 120 each or £82 for tyres
running at 90 psi as well on the smaller wheels
