Have you looked into using the likes of mix 2 match with his little volumetric?
Ah.. a bit far south for us.. be nice if they were local. 3 hours round-trip for most of our Jobs.

How about loading concrete into these and use trailer mounted hiab to lift them out, or add some sort of discharge valve?

If you used the liners it saves washing them out 🤷🏻‍♂️

They're quite cheap! Trouble is you can only half fill anything if it's on the road..

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better

Can't find anything in uk.. Guess a cube plus the kit is going to be close to or over 3500kg so not valid for UK/Europe market.

A local firm a few years ago bought a smashed up ready mix lorry cut the front off and welded a tractor hitch on and run it on power take off but got hounded by the police trying to catch on something in the end he got rind off it.
The only pan mixer I have used run on a tractor power take off and it worked well

I have a cut down (about 1/3 height) ibc I use for taking mixes to jobs where its a pain to use the mixer for a handful of barrows. 👍👍
Problem with large quantities would be emptying it efficiently but it will work for transport.
It's amazing how much the water rises to the top though.

What about ibc containers, cut top off make your own lid. My mate gets them foc. Just uses the cages for logs
Yes we use lots of old IBCs for waste handling skips and for removing hardcore from site as I can take them round the back and tip them out with the forklift. We use them for bringing excess ready mix BACK to site but no so much use on site unless we have the micro on site and I don't like using it for concrete as it's still quite shiny! I want something that I can hook up in the yard, swing by the eready mix plant, drive out to site with half a cube or so and be there for about 20 minutes tipping it into barows for 2 lads on site, then I can beetle back to the yard, wash out and carry on with my day of office or yard work or back in the van for a survey or plumbing job.. now the empty load charge is £155×vat then if I can sort a wee load out in 2-3 hours then it's still a superior job to mixing our own on site, plus by my calcs it's cheaper to buy readymix than it it for me to buy the materials... !

Yes its an issue.. We usually seem to get over it okay, it's usually laid within 30 minutes of being mixed/loaded and if you spread it out over the slab evenly it seems to finish off OK. I'm just trying to find a simple ish low labour option. Taking lads off heating jobs where we are charging out at nearly £50 an hour to drive a shovel instead is something I am keen to reduce.
Sub the bases to a small Groundworks outfit 2 man team etc let them do them on price to your spec then it’s their problem.

I’ve looked into all this with the remote jobs we do, pan mixers needs 50-60l/min even my 1.6 ton wouldn’t Chuck that out so was 3 ton to unload it onto legs lift out bulk bags to fill it then power it etc

Now looking for a mixer bucket for 3 ton digger or tracked dumper option like the merlo cinco etc

As @JD450A Rory said separation will be big issue driving it on trailer will be a solid mass if you’ve ever left a dumper idelling with concrete in makes a great concrete poker

We have an imer360 but not sure about driving with it full and spinning though well you couldn’t as need legs for weight.
